Description (edited; forgot to include all the texture layers before uploading. Doh!)

The B-10 Battleaxe is brought to you by the Society For People Who Don't Like Things That Are In Front Of Them. The SFPWDLTTAIFOT is a non-profit organization, mainly because people who try to engage them in conversation do so from the wrong position and any profits end up being burned off repairing the ensuing property damage. A tragic story, really.

(I may be writing this while coming down off an illness.)

Anyway, latest mesh for the project right here, the Battleaxe heavy bomber.

The Battleaxe isn't contemporary to the other designs I've posted so far, being a few decades older than they are. Doctrines of the day were more focused on staying power and up-close-and-personal weapons. Instead of being built around rockets or standoff torpedoes like the the Sarissa, Culverin and Thunderbolt (which is still upcoming), the Battleaxe is built around a pair of warship-scale cannons. As it maneuvers like a tectonic plate, three smaller gun turrets (one of which is fixed in the bow) provide close-range defense against fighters or targets not worth wasting a 30cm round on.

The result is less a bomber by current standards than some sort of gunship or small corvette. As one of the largest ships in the fleet that isn't a proper "ship" like the corvette and other warships, the Battleaxe requires tenders to deploy at long range, as they're too large to comfortably launch from most carriers.

From what I can tell, it doesn't seem like there's much difference between the size of this bomber and the others you've uploaded. You should render an image of all your smallcraft together for comparison!

I'll do one of those a few meshes from now - trying to make sure any group pictures I do are spread out so I avoid the temptation of tossing out another one every other ship.

It's definitely quite a bit bigger though. Perspective kinda messed this one up a bit, but the cockpits and bow guns give a sense of things.
