Great choice of disguise, Rainbow. It's not like your mane and tail don't stand out enough already; now you've got the Wonderbolts' easily-recognizable uniform to make things worse. You've got theft, breaking and entering, assault (not sure what else tying Spitfire up would count as), fleeing from the scene of the crime, and to top it off, you've probably dashed the lucky second chance the Spitfire gave you in "Wonderbolt Academy." Good luck explaining this to Spitfire and the police; you're going to need it. And I don't think the "I make this suit look good" defense is going to fly with the authorities (even if that defense is true.)

If Spitfire is role-playing the "Damsel in Distress" type, then Rainbow is the worst rescuer ever. Hmm. I could save Spitfire like I'm supposed to, or I could just make off with some of her possessions. Then I could pretend that I hadn't arrived yet! Nothing could go wrong with that plan! That could end with Spitfire being irritated or... yeah, probably just irritated.
I highly doubt that Rainbow wouldn't want to be in the Wonderbolts anymore, given how hard she lucked out in the Academy (and how happy she was afterwards). Then again, she could have some weird Survivor's Guilt thing with regards to Lightning Dust. Still kinda hoping that she didn't get kicked out.

Let me chime in with, have you seen the royal guard? Biggest bunch of incompetents I have ever scene. I mean, I understand Chrysalis was sort of taking Canterlot by ambush, but those guys couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag; much less catch RD for swiping a few of Spitfire's unmentionables by the looks of it. Far as I am concerned, if you got a solar guard on your butt, don't worry. Now Luna's Lunar guard, they look like some badass motherbuckers, we've yet to see if they can do their jobs.

I am also of the opinion that the members of the Royal Guard are a bit on the useless side. They can stand and look intimidating (see "A Bird in the Hoof" and "Sweet and Elite"), but when it matters, the Royal Guard's performance is negligible at best. Their most successful act was when Twilight and Spike were transported to Ponyville in the season one pilot. Then again, having a police force of some kind is practically essential to maintaining law and order, even if the society at hand is generally quite peaceful and not crime-ridden.
As for Luna's Night Guard, I hope that they don't just look impressive. A powerful appearance does not bestow impressive performance; I'd like to see them in action.
