Description Design based off of East Asian economic union proposal submitted following the defeat of PRC in the Great Sinosphere Revolution of 2052-2056.

KEY:
Yellow - Symbolizes economic/philosophical prosperity, as well as Sino ethnocultural sovereignty.
Red - Martial collaboration of allied states.
Green - Peace, meant to be principle from which justice and martial strength rise.
White - Purity; Shanghai Alliance is a complete martial union of several similar and linked but very diverse cultures within the Sinosphere. To facilitate national cohesion, a sort of Great Sinocentrism became a popular sentiment seemingly by a twisted form of natural social selection. Sinocentrism originally gave the Alliance an edge over the People's Republic of China during the Revolution of 2052, as the PRC was well known for ethnic tyranny by majority under Han chinese dominion. By elevating all east asian ethnicities to 'superior' status, the originally Chinese rebels gained popular support from states that would normally be nuked before being annexed, and the PRC loyalists simply found themselves hopelessly outnumbered within four years of conflict.
Blue - Justice, meant to be principle from which dragon (Martial strength) rises.
Dragon - Universal cultural icon of East Asia, represents age, wisdom, strength.
Stars - Represent allied states (China, Uyghurstan, Korea, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos)

The borderline xenophobia inherent to the modern Shanghai culture is yet another of the great supranational peculiarities from which the International Transhumanist Scare draws enough attention to function. Shanghai is the least attached nation to the Unified Powers, but they always choose traditional capitalism and false democracy over the hated political revolutionaries of North America. It is for this reason only that Shanghai collaborates as closely as it does with the Eurasian Union, the Indopersian League, and the Europa Confederacy.

In terms of military, the Alliance has the second largest standing army, and the most massive/advanced navy of the Unified Powers. Hardline Sinonationalists within the ruling council tend to take far too much confidence in this apparent advantage, while more moderate East Asian Unionists like to be more cautious about the unknown aspects of the American war machine, suspicious that the military advantage China historically held over America may be slipping following The Singularity.
