indeed he was offering her his heart his love but she was selfish. yet what she did was half right she saved her brother. but she could have let him down nicely or stay in touch with him as well with her friends.

It's funny, but I disagree. She just went through that entire Labyrinth to save her brother. She did what was right, not what she wanted. Yay for strong heroines!

Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don't feel that Sarah would have been any less of a heroine if she had taken Jareth up on his offer. It's a fantasy for some women, not a test of determination or bravery. Furthermore, I don't think the fantasy for anyone included Toby being turned into a goblin or any harm coming to him. So, she would have succeeded either other way. Sarah gets Jareth, Jareth gives back the baby, and the castle rocks like a van for the next ten thousand years. Well, if she were 18 er something. The End.

Lol, the demotivational poster is just a matter of opinion. I think Sarah made the wrong choice, personally. However, if you read a lot of fan fictions (or write them as the case is more likely to be) then I'm sure you'll find a trillion various perspectives on everything. I write Jareth as Seelie and Unseelie, while I've seen others write him as an elf or actual goblin. :3 It's all very interesting and intricate. Just like the crystal in the movie, when you turn it you notice something more, or it becomes something entirely different. I think that's the beauty of Labyrinth.

And yet, I don't think Sarah made the wrong choice. I love Sarah and Jareth together, but that wouldn't have been the right time to accept his offer since her little brother was her first priority and the theme of the movie is taking responsibility..........so I think it was a good choice. But if she was never to see Jareth afterward or tried to forget about him...THAT would be a very bad choice.
