My reimagining of Captain Planet's Linka whose real name is actually Nina Orlov and Linka is a codename for her secret identity.

Linka comes from St. Petersburg, Russia and when the world ended, Russia was one of hardest hit countries on Earth. Never ending winters ravaged the Mother Land and nothing could live in the barren, frozen wasteland that was once the surface. Subterranean colonies were built to house the remaining Russian citizens and Linka went into these colonies as a baby. An underground life was all she knew and the only ones allowed to journey to the surface was soldiers, so Linka enlisted and trained for an entire year and before she had a chance to see the world above, she was recruited for a four man mission that would go to the arctic to find a mysterious energy source that could greatly benefit the colonies. She was given the codename Linka and told to keep this mission as secret as possible. While braving the harsh blizzards, Linka was separated from her team and forced to move on alone. She would later meet up with the four other "Planeteers" to journey North, the power source she was in search of was actually the goddess, Gaia, and she needed Linka and the others to wield elemental rings and bring the world back from destruction.

Linka is a determined women who is tough as nails and ready to throw down in a split second. Linka's toughness comes from growing up in a harsh underground environment and learning to fight in multiple different fighting styles. She comes off as entirely no nonsense but she does have a softer side when she sees the remaining beauty left in the world. Linka is highly defensive of her friends and those she considers family and will fight for them no matter what.

With her Air Ring, Linka has command of the sky and wind. She is able to send out a blast of compressed air in an direction she chooses and can create cyclones and tornados out of nowhere. Linka can also bring air down to places where air wouldn't normal be found like underwater. Another gift from the ring is the ability to fly, more specifically, the ability to ride massive wind currents to any destination of her choosing.
