After a very disappointing first release, mainly because I am over critical and knew I could finish it better, I have finally got to a point where I would consider this 'finished'. that's not to say it is... more that I'm leaving it where it is. Either that or spend the rest of my life trying to get it right
I have fixed a few things bugging me from version 1, namely the colour balance, details to make each character more individual and tried to fix the flames in the foreground. Not entirely happy about the champion/front skelly, but I'vegone through about 3 or 4 new versions of it before I was 'happy'.
This has taken me about 2 weeks of tweaking, i've probably put more work into this than any of my previous work trying to get it to work. I suspect I should have junked it and started again, but maybe I'm just feeling sorry for myself
Modelled and Rendered in 3DS Max. Parts of the skeleton are taken from a Poser model. Shields, Armour and weapons created from scratch in 3DS Max. Composed and detailed in Photoshop with some work undertaken in Illustrator.

only problem i can find is that there are a few tangents created by weapons and bones.. and even though the focus is SO clear.. they still detract from it a bit.. but.. by no means would i say you need to change it.. this looks great

well i think you can do better..JK the atmosphere and everything is great...the attention to detail is superb...and i love the smoke and fire! even the parts on the ground where it looks like the lava is coming up.
