HAHAHAHA I forgot I did this back in September XD Just a random Gumshoe doodle, because he's so hapless and adorable.
I know everyone is all over Bobby Fulbright in the new AA5, but I really like Gumshoe

Awwwww, nice to see Gumshoe art where he's looking all happy and smiley and isn't the butt of everyone's jokes.
This is a really nice piece of a character who deserves really nice art. I know that I've said this before, but I can't stress enough how well I think your style is suited to drawing Ace Attorney characters. The slightly more American, cartoony feel (UM AND I DO MEAN THAT IN A NICE WAY EVEN THOUGH IT ACCIDENTALLY SOUNDS DISMISSIVE...) works very well with the US setting that the Western release of these games went for.

And no, don't worry, I didn't take it the wrong way XD I totally understand what you mean and it's funny because I was having this discussion with friends last night over dinner actually... I've had a lot of people in the past think I'm a caucasian male because of how I draw (granting them not having seen my fan service), so I think that speaks volumes XD
And I can't help adding my own flair to whatever fan art I do... I've certainly done the style mimic straight-on in the past but after awhile I would get bored drawing like someone else, and in the end I have more fun drawing like me

Yeah, sadly that sort of gender assumption does seem to come with drawing certain things. D: I follow a webcomic about gangsters in the 1920s and the artist seems to often get people assuming that she's males because of the subject matter. It really is a shame. ;w;

I've really liked all of the detective characters over the course of the games. That includes Fulbright, but I'm comparatively less attached to him than I am to the others XD

I still have to play AA5.. I've only played AA1 and like 1 hour of AA2... is it safe to just jump into AA5? I have it... just haven't played it 'cuz of that.

you could play AA5 without the others since they don't connect to much, but its fun to play them in order because sometimes there will be some small references or whatever in DD that you'd get from other games, also you just know Apollo and Phoenix better as characters so it's more comfortable and you can get a lot of laughs out of them.

Nope. Actually, the 'references' are really vague and almost always explained in-game. It's almost frustrating how little the previous games come up. You will be fine.
