Have you read that bizarre Wikipedia article about the future Layton release? Apparently, its main characters will be a zombie, a taxi driver, and a dog. XP
Also, they're interested to port the Layton series to the Wii U. That sounds pretty cool, right?

Yeah, Layton 7 was sneak-peeked about 2 years ago and when I was it I was like WTF NO. Β NO noonoNnOnNo. Β I can't say I have high hopes for it, though it's... peculiar to say the least? Β Lordy. Β
I've heard of the Wii U port, but until I see a bit more substantial news for it, I'm afraid to hold my breath
