Description First steps on my stopmotion project.
It's hell if you can't really see what you're doing D:Β

It's so neat to see him moving! Β

I ordered some softboxes 4 weeks ago and they still didn't arrive yet. I WANNA SCREAM.

That tail looks hand animated! It's so nice to see that stop motion is still alive and well.

is he magnetized to the surface? (one way to stabilize the leg movements)

No, but I've read it a few times in the comments. I'll try it out next time!

Β I love this! It must have taken you awhile but it's worth it! I'd love to see some Backgrounds eventually too!

Thanks a lot!
Before I come to backgrounds, I need to figure out how to animate a single model first XD

Β No rush. Especially since stop-motion is so time consuming. Planning is important. This test was really great and smooth.

That's adorable~ Stop-motion things always tend to move around erratically, its part of what gives it an old-school animation kinda charm. Not sure what the pros do, but maybe using small placement markers on the table surface could help you keep track of the body's placements.

I've never seen animation with needle felted creation! this is sooo cool! I adore it ;w;

Me neither! That's why I thought I'd give it a try!

Ah I love this! I've always wanted to try animating a felted sculpture. *u*

Suggestion for the feet: put some strong magnets inside? Then you could use a metal sheet pan under your backdrop and he won't move around as much.

This is truley wonderful, that tail is so smooth.

I've a suggestion though, have you considered with your animation models having pin's for the pupil?
Like your average sewing pin, with a black top. Would that work?

Hmm... yeah I think that would work. I definitely have to give it a try!

ZimtHandmade In reply to Perperf-Artist [2016-05-17 11:10:30 +0000 UTC]

It's so hard to keep track of all the motions ;__; I definitely need to work on that.

Sure is! But I know you'll get better at it.
