That's adorable~ Stop-motion things always tend to move around erratically, its part of what gives it an old-school animation kinda charm. Not sure what the pros do, but maybe using small placement markers on the table surface could help you keep track of the body's placements.

Ah I love this! I've always wanted to try animating a felted sculpture. *u*
Suggestion for the feet: put some strong magnets inside? Then you could use a metal sheet pan under your backdrop and he won't move around as much.

This is truley wonderful, that tail is so smooth.
I've a suggestion though, have you considered with your animation models having pin's for the pupil?
Like your average sewing pin, with a black top. Would that work?

It's so hard to keep track of all the motions ;__; I definitely need to work on that.
