Soon after starting Parasyte -the maxim-, I noticed that Migi's English voice sounded familiar. He's voiced by Britney Karbowski, while Peridot is voiced by Shelby Rabara, but they sound very similar. Aside from their voices, both characters are aliens, neither were accustomed to the way humans lived for awhile, they were hostile in the beginning but began to care for people later on, and they speak using a lot of highly intellectual words. And of course, they're both super adorable.

I love the idea of them becoming best friends and sharing their stories of how they grew to get used to living on Earth.

I know it's never confirmed in Parasyte where the creatures are from, but when I read a summary before watching the anime, it said that they were aliens, and I've seen that other places as well, so I'm sticking with that. I'm not sure if it was ever mentioned in the manga.
