This may be a silly question, but what's the symbology of the painting? I mean, which flowers are those and why they're associated with immortality?

It depends, I think. For me it wasn't, because it was my first time using Canson paper and I honestly didn't expect it to act this way. I usually paint with really pale colors, and having the paper absorbing all the pigment didn't do much for this work.
But I have to admit that other than that, I really liked the texture and the way the paint blended on the sheet, so the next time I use it I'll just pick less water and more paint.
