Hehehe! Yass! I'm actually adapting a real novel into a comic with the author! I'm so excited for that project!
And I'm so happy you are too! We've been working on in it during almost 6 months.
I won't hesitate to ask for your opinion once it'll come out !
BTW..We have no classe together! I won't be able to stalk your work ...

That's awesome to work with the author of the actual novel! I did a quick Google search on the series and the book seems to have positive reviews. HYPE!
And that's unfortunate. At least, you can still stalk my art stuff on DeviantArt (or Tumblr or Twitter), haha! XD

and I think it will do well in a comic format. We want to make it as dynamic as manga ,but
with the colouring of a comic book. It's going to be pretty intense doing all the chapters of the book...

Hahaha....I have no idea how I'm going to do this. But we're not really on a schedule yet. In the beginning we will sell some chapters online and if it gets popular maybe we'll make an actuall comic book! But that's for later...
Actually, now I'm just working on some "posters" of the characters and I also plan on redoing the cover ,since I'm not satisfied of the actual one...But I finished the draft of the first chapter(like 70 pages)! Then I'll paint it on photoshop....urggg there is so much to doooo

all the girls will look at you like as if you were Edward Cullen or Christian Grey...
Yes, I've seen your"Collabs with Bro", it's a very good idea and the drawings come up really funny and
original! AND OMG!You still have 12 to 19 characters to draw! That's a lot! But I bet it's also a good practice
for the digital.
I'm still waiting this animation.
When you say "Visual Novel", you mean the GAME? If that's the case,it would be soooo AWESOME!

Actually, you're right! I did improve quite a lot from "Collabs with Bro"! On top of that, it gives me the opportunity to try various style from talented artist.
Ex: The village is inspired by Egon Schiele; Captain Falcon, by Yusuke Murata; Lucy & Luke, Amin Faramarzian.
I'm glad that you're already interested in my VN (a game with limited gameplay)!
The funny thing is, its story started from an inside joke I have with my brother and involved into something bigger! I already have my story structured planned in details. HYPE!

Well! I new thing to look forward into! I'll be waiting this game , patiently and super hyped

I'll try to make the best VN I can! It'll just take one year or more...
And yeah, I'm pretty lucky to have such a cool brother. I've seen some pretty toxic relationship between siblings. Hopefully, yours isn't like that!

Yeah, it's serious business. I know at least two really good artist that were negatively affect by wrist/back injuries. One wasn't able to draw as much as before (she can't be as productive which sucks) and the other had to get 3 weeks of break (and got depressed).
Even I, this week end, wasn't able to draw because my arms hurt so much... and I do my stretches once a day!

I just had to draw myself as a weeb! When the teacher of Technique d'Animation asked us to write what shows we saw last year, I just put a link to my list on Myanimelist.com XD

Yes, I do look older than I actually am!
I use Adobe Flash Professional CS6. A lot of people complain that it often crashes but I never experienced it (just some temporary freezes).
Some advice on animating? I know that you're familiar with the 12 principals of animation, but studying it a bit more never hurts. Seriously, our current animation class is barely scratching the surface.
Filming yourself and analyzing the footage is also an incredible tool. It can be helpful for extremes & breakdowns (by exaggerating the poses, of course). Even Richard Williams said that it was essentially a form of pencil test! However, planning the scene/sequence with thumbnails is also important.
I have some other advice but I don't want this reply to be me rambling too much (I'm getting old *cough*). But seriously, my animation skills are still... lacking. Heck, I recently learned that I've been doing my breakdowns the wrong way XD
Haha, if you become a stalker, you may easily attracts another one to join our conversation!

Alright! Then I'll use Adobe Flash Professional CS6! I did some research and I've
seen that "the Naruto openings parody''(it's a couple of stupid/funny animations)
was done using that program! Ohhhhh!! Btwww! Did you see Batmetal? The animation
is prettty dope.
Hahaha! It's funny that you mention Richard Williams 'cause I didn't bought the book yet.....haha....
I'll try to film myself, I also think it'll be easier for the extremes and breakdowns, and yeah I understand
the 12 principals of animation ,but we didn't do much of animation so I'm really bad at doing them even if I understand
the theory.
Oh please give me all of your advices, I definitly need them. Plus you do directly your animation on the computer,
maybe it's different than on paper, if that's the case I'll be even more lost.
And how have you been doing your breakdowns the wrong way? See! That's whay I need your help,
or I'll do even worst mistakes!
I'm sorry if I'm asking to much...You can tell me if I'm being a bother to you.

I haven't seen Batmetal before but it really reminds of another flash animation: The Darkest Knight/ Sexxi Batman.
What's up with Batman's parodies and big lips? XD
Oh boy, well...
It's not like we used the Richard Williams a lot anyway, haha
Animation on the computer isn't very different from paper. Just like digital painting, it's just more convenient but its hacks can lead to traps.
I'll make a list of advice later since I have a lot to say about it.
However, I have to remind you that I'm not that experienced and some of those tips might be completely wrong! XD
Nah, you're not a bother. I find it cool that someone actually wants my advice!
(I don't know. I'm used to write in English on the Web. And mostly every media I consume, especially in Animation, is in English. Also, I just assumed that you were an Anglophone lol)

I don't know what's up with the big lips, but I sure like it! There is so much wiggle in Batmetal , it's crazy.
I promise, I'll buy the Richard Williams soon! Like maybe ,next year , once I get enough money, if I don't waste it in clothing or shooeees.
I know you are still learning too, but you are more experienced than me, so you must have worthy knowledge! And when I'll start getting used to animating we'll be able to share advices and ideas and THEN BECOME THE BEST ANIMATORS OF OUR COHORTE. Hum.. It's going to be super fun!
Anyway, I'm happy to have you! I'll be waiting your list of advice!
(I'm actually not Anglophone, I'm like you, just good with english because I use it so much on the Internet. But it's a good practise! At least for me, I got to think through, and ask myself if I'm clear and if my sentences aren't weird XD)

That's exactly what I am doing! I'm secretly recruiting people with potential to form an elite group of animators, haha
But I seriously think of you as one of the best artist in our cohort! Basically, we're already THE BEST ANIMATO... Well, you get my point.
I've already written down 10 solid advice on animation in my agenda. It's still unorganized and I feel like it needs illustrations to explain some points.
Mmmh...
(In that case, let's keep writing in English even though we both aren't Anglophones!)

Of course fashion is important! I'm still a superficiall teen afterall...
You're style remind me of a Pokemon trainer! You know because you wear often
white and beige, and it's uniform! It's nice! You'd specialise in the water type.
Haha! That would actually be a good plan! Young, fresh and talented animators taking over the animation
industry!
AWN ! You really think I'm that good!? Honestly, you are probebly THE best of our cohorte, from what I've seen.
Your drawings just SCREAM mouvements.
Well take your time, I'll be a little too busy to seriously work on an animation. I downloaded
the animation programe yesterday, I opened it and then I closed my lap top and went to sleep. It lookss
very complicated!! I'm still at the point of figuring what every buttons does... I hope their is some tutorials on

Oh but if you want to include illustrations you could send me sketches via Facebook.

uhh... You'd be the water type because... I don't know... White, beige and blue would fit better with that kind
of Pokemon...And calm and kind people makes me think of water...
Oh god I don't like it when they say that, I feel very bad 'cause I know that it's very not true, and I probebly impress
some people just because of my age. From what Ive seen, I would say that you, Laura, Benjamen and Vianney are
the best ones. Jo is also very good, but he's not in animation anymore.
Thanks for the links, I'll check them out before getting to work on the program.
Your profile pic,man...Let me just tell you that when the Facebook groupe was created, I went to the list ,to stalk a little, and
then I saw that handsome black man. I was just like, " who is that guy!? I never seen him''. And then I saw your name. I was

Then, I wouldn't be a water type since I steal candies from babies
I haven't seen enough of personal work from Laura, Ben and Vianney to really say how good they are.
And to be fair, most of these people (except Jo, I don't remember who he was) are a bit old.
I know age shouldn't matter, but still...
And I doubt that anyone is impressed JUST by your age. I mean, if you didn't draw well, they wouldn't be impressed in the first place!
Oh wow, then I should stop using that fictional, handsome, black man if it'll just disappoint others! XD
Anyway, your disappointment reminds of something funny from a few years back. I was working at a friend's (girl A) apartment and her roommate (girl B) was able to hear my deep voice from her bedroom. Girl B came out of her room to say hi and returned just as quickly.
The next day, Girl A told me how much Girl B loved (a bit too much) my voice. However, she was disappointed to see how I actually looked! XD

I've had a glance at their personnel work and I think they are very good, I feel like their's a lot of expression and
it's very ''artsyy''.(Jo is the guy that drew in the comic style, he was in our anatomy class and he used to come often in
pyjama pants).
It's funny, everytime, someone tells me that they like my stuff, I just pull out my phone and show them your work on Deviantart.
I feel like a fangirl, I'm just like'' it's the tall guy with brown hair and a deep voice that did this!Isn't that cool!?''
AWN, that story is so sad yet so funny! But your voice is soooo deeeppp. Everytime I heard you talking I was just ,always, surprised.

I know that almost every artist (even my mentors) experiences art insecurity at some level every now and then. It's especially true now since the Internet is exposing us to amazing artist every day! However, that can be used as a driving force to improve our art... or can be incredibly toxic for us. It depends how you deal with it.

ALRIGHTT...Umh, you were actually a lonely child, your parents didn't spend much time with you because of work. They loved you ,but
the economy was hard and they wanted to provide you a better life, not knowing that the only thing you wanted was ''them''. You had a dificult
time with the others in school since you didn't interact a lot at home, no siblings to play with, and a silent house to return to. Then your mom
got pregnant again, you were filled with happiness , looking forward to play and have amazing moments with your lil'bro! But you never expected
him to get all the attention of your parents. Jealousy and envy began to envelop your little and innocent heart. You
wanted what he had, you decided that he was not worth all of this attention and he HAD TO PAY. So you began looking at him more closely
,thinking of a way to take away the love from him. After many failed attempts to recover the care of your parents ,you bursted with rage! You were not
longer in control of your body. You were seeing RED. You walked agressively to your brother and with your right hand you took the only thing he cared
about at the moment, knowing you couldn't take away the real most important thing. YOU STOLED HIS LOLLIPOP! And till this day you stole candies from
kids!
So how did I do? Can I be renamed Sherlock Holmes?
I'll try to make my insecurities a positive energy then! But I don't know if it's the same for you, but one of my problem is finding an original style.
It's getting, like you said, even harder with all of the artworks on the Internet.
Your representation of a fine ass is veryyy...
(Glad you are a fine amateur of shitposting, I'll try to not deceive you)

Heccentrik In reply to Zoahra [2016-03-15 21:51:21 +0000 UTC]
I can't believe that you actually took the time to write me a backstory XD
It's almost accurate but there's one small problem: I don't have a little bro (cue to dramatic piano).
Sherlock Holmes would have done his research!
Since I've never really thought about it, I've never struggled about style. To me, artistic style is just a mix of your interest/experience, a set of limitation (of the artist or the medium) or a creative choice. I am unsure if that's what you meant but you want people to look a one of your work and say "Wow, this is definitively a drawing of Zoahra/HinataBest/Thebigbadbitch/Fatima!", right? To have an distinctive, yet appealing art style that anyone can recognize?
Well, my only piece of advice would be to focus more on mastering fundamentals like shape, gesture, lightning, composition, etc. No matter what the style is, fundamentals will make your work better!
This ass is even finer --> (‿ˠ‿)

I had some free time to write that, it happens occasionnally ,plus I was inspired. You look like a tortured soul...
But what!!? You don't have a brother? And your collabs with "your lil' bro? Was that all a lie ? ??
Though, I'm geassing you are half brothers ...
How is it that you always provide good advices? You sound sooo wise!! Are you sure you're not 45?
But I think you are right fundementals are very important, the thing is that I always practice those on paper ,while I prefer stylise my work on digital. These days, I got a lot of people saying that my style look like another artist, but I'm curently working on two illustrations that are kind of different ! So I'm dodging the problem for now.
Sooo enough about me! How are YOU doing? ? I mean in class... For the princess walk, I'm geassing that you are not going to do "your typical princess".
I'm a little concern about your knowledge of fine ass emoticons. (I approve those apple bottom jeans though)

Yes, I don't have a little brother... but I do have an OLDER brother!
It's just that everyone assumes that he's younger than I am! XD
For the princess, I'll indeed try to avoid designing a cliche character. That's why I did a decent visual research of old portraits of princesses.
Interestingly, for a lot of them, their pose and facial expression seem to indicate a sign of awkwardness. So, I'll try to capture that in my animation!
Speaking of school assignment, I've never seen any of your animation...
I didn't know what apple bottom jeans were before you mentioned it. It seems that you also have a good knowledge of fine ass.

Looking like a tortured soul means that you look like a BADASS (back to ass) who when through a lot in his past...PLZ don't force
me to write another complicated and long backstory XD
So you mean that those drawings that you're redoing are made by your BIG bro!? I'm shocked. Oh well, I guess he is a little
above average. Wich is good. Since we're talking about family, I wanna say that I'm the bigger one and I have 4 ADORABLE little sisters!
I love them so much, I would NEVER give them up for ANYTHING. ( I'm obviously joking...)
Akwardness fits perfectly with your style! I'm excited to see how you're going to make it work! I'll be doing a mainstream princess( I know, I know
it's very normal, I'm not ''heccentrik'' like you! dadum tss!HAHAHAHAHA! I'm on firaaaahhh). I really want to make a perfeccttt animation, that looks like

Yeah, I've seen your walking cycle yesterday and it's pretty good. I like his jogging and how his paper thin ear is react to it!
That being said, I'm looking for your normal-yet-perfect princess.
And I'm grateful that I learned some of your knowledge on asses. I'm unfortunately not well versed with the classics.
Since my knowledge is limited, some could even call me bad(ass), ha!
(Look, I can also be your rival in humor!)

I know, I know, I'm doing this on myself...I'm actually a masochist ( the upper part of the conversation is taking a turn)
Haha! 5 is really not that much, my grandma has 16 childrens, so I have a LOT of aunties and uncles, and all of them have themselves
childrens. Last time I counted I had 45 cousins, just in my father side... Man, white people are so casual, taking life on level easy.
Akwardness is a good thing now! Since everyone relate to it(espacially people from the program) , there's more chance that they ''get'' your animation.
That should be your signature, akward characters.
Did you begin your animation of the princess? I want her to gambol and it's fucking hard (lol) ,and I'll be out of town until Monday so I wouldn't able to do anything
(why does my family always want to do stufff???)
HAHAHA! I never ASSpected you to be so badASS, you humor is truely of an ANUStonoshing level. It's a catASStrophy that you are getting better than me! Okay Imma stop those BUTT PUNS(if you get this, you are a dirty, dirty man)

Oh boy, do you also have about backstory explaining your masochistic behaviors? (The bottom part took a turn a while ago and now, the upper part? What, is the middle part will in the near future?)
Jeesh, your family is way smaller than I would have thought.
...
I have 1 cousin in my mother's side.
I just started the animation for the princess and... yeah. Is it normal that I have 50 different drawings? I mean, the previous animation was only 12...
If it helps, you could use one of the sheets we received in class about walking cycles.
It showed how to animate a skip. (Hopefully, you family trip won't affect you school work too much)
There's just one tHEINIE problem BEHIND your statement... You aren't FANNY with your BUN-- I mean - puns! You REARly hit the BOTTOM of the barrel this time, BUTT I can forgive you. (I went on a web dictionary to write this! XD I guess I am an intellectual dirty man now)
