Ahhh Everis...probably one of the most unfathomable characters I have ever written about, next to Ashworth anyway. For those of you unfamiliar with my book, Everis is the Dark Lord of London, the head of the city's vampiric council and older than anyone can remember.
He used to rule London alone, but democracy got its way and stripped him of much of his power.

Everis is neither good nor evil, at least not entirely, and knows more secrets than he cares to explain. He sometimes confuses even me, as he likes to test the other characters before he becomes friends with them. He abhores weakness in any way and treats all who would go against his laws, in a very harsh manner.

Saying this however, we do get to see his slightly more softer side in Book 2 - when Celeste goes to him for help, and he offers the young woman some very well meaning advice. Everis is very much a main character in the second book after showing up only briefly at the end of the first. He just intreagued me so much I just had to make him more important, and seeing as the hunter who took his eye appears as a minor character as well, it just seemed fitting.

Anyway, this pic shows Everis in his element, the night- even though he is the only known vampire in my stories who can roam around quite happily in daylight too. He really is an enigma, whose past is yet to be unveiled
