I tried so hard to not fall for this character. I kept saying to myself "Don't do it; you love the movie, you enjoy this character; don't confuse yourself." But . . . . those eyes . . . and that hair . . . . and that smile . . . . and the little gap in between his teeth . . . . and those hands . . . . and that TEMPER . . . . and that heart . . . . and his pouty face . . . . and his naivite . . . seriously, who could resist him?

I know! I fell so hard for him! He's the (almost) Perfect guy! Sure he's got flaws but who doesn't? He's sweet and kind and big and protective and loving... *trails off with a bunch of other thing*

He is gloriously perfect in his imperfections! There's nothing really fun about an absolutely perfect guy. Ralph's got his temper, which is both amusing and intimidating, but that temper goes hand-in-hand with his passion and energy. He's naive about a few things, but he's not a blithering idiot; he learns as he goes along, and he acknowledges when he makes mistakes. He's sweet to and protective of the ones he loves, because he knows what it's like to have no one there. And . . . oh, that FACE! How could anyone resist that FACE? :loves:

I also like that he's a bit chubby, compared to the "well defined" men of Disney's main male characters!

It's a growing fad in animation these days, the tooth gap in the top front teeth, but Ralph really makes it work.
Rock-hard abs might be nice to look at (unless the guy works out way too much, in which case it's just kind of awkward), but they're not really the best for snuggling up against. Ralph's strong, and he's certainly got some muscle, but he's also got plenty of softness around the edges. It's the perfect ratio, so he can protect and fight, but also comfort and sympathize. And it's just right for hugging . . . and cuddling . . . and . . . and . . .

Right before I read the text I was saying to myself, "Looks like I'm not the only one who fell in love with his gap teeth." Aha. Yes. The 'I've got a crush on Ralph' club is a small one, but we're here. I feel a little weird about it honestly but how could you NOT? The dry humor and the kindness and the fact that everything about him is ADORABLE. This is the first piece of fanart I've seen that showcases his adorable teeth so beautifully.

It so does! I have to wonder if the artists set out intending to make him that adorable or if it was just a glorious accident. And yeah! The fact that he's so big and strong means he has to learn a lot of self control in his movements and learn to be really gentle so he doesn't like, squash someone's head by accident or something. And that dry humor is just awesome. Some of his lines still make me laugh when I think of them.
