Jamie is fairly easy to get along with but hard to get close to.
When his walls are breached and someone does make it into Jamie's 'friendzone' its a little lack luster to say the least. He can come off very boring as he's heavily focused on his work at all times. His expressions are always stoic and his eyes distant as if he's miles away. In truth its quite the opposite. Jamie is very observant of minor details and keen on remembering them. He's constantly thinking but never lost in his thoughts. Jamie has a strong control of his mind and appears very focused. He loses all sense of focus though when someone tries explaining a tv show or book they've read. It's almost an instant loss of interest for him, at most he'll recall titles but the rest is tossed aside.

Reserved in his own right Jamie doesn't talk about his interests or history, what feelings he has he will keep to himself as well. Usually a piece offering of soda is the best way to open him up. He plays mostly off what he believes others expect from him or what they want to hear. Willing to take a side he doesn't truly believe in to persuade someone. This has its limits. Jamie is a lawful man, he wouldn't break even a minor law for someone without extreme cause. Though this is a view he's starting to loosen up on as there's no laws in the chateau aside from perhaps some house rules.

Time Era: 1986
History: Jamie was raised almost entirely by his aunt. He was never meant to meet his father, and his mother a mere visit here or there between the years. It bogged him down in his teens but eventually he was off to college and had made peace with the circumstances. In college he was somewhat of a prodigy, he majored in criminal justice and aced most his classes. The sleepless nights he paid were well worth the degree. Afterwards he'd gone on to become a police officer.

He looks back fondly on those days, late night shifts and celebratory outings with his co-workers. Jamie was very excited to receive his detective promotion. He'd longed to be a detective since he was a boy watching tv shows with his auntie. The job was hard, a lot less fun than his time as an officer, but it was doing something that mattered to him. He specialized in missing persons and had miraculously closed several cases others seemed stumped on.

Years had gone by and Jamie was locked in a rather unsolvable case. The year was now 1986, a very eventful year for the world but to Jamie 1986 would be the worst year of his life and perhaps the last. His case had gone cold just a month into the year and the following months had put him on temporary unpaid leave. Determined to find his missing person with or without pay Jaime pushed forward and eventually found a lead. He was skeptical at first, the lead was odd in that it just appeared. An anonymous tip directly to his phone. Jamie had followed the tip as cautiously as he could, even telling his one friend that if he didn't return in the next few hours to call someone.

What Jamie had found was a chateau in the middle of the cold cold woods. He collected what jackets his car had collected over the years and packed them on before entering the forest on foot. By the time he reached the chateau it was already too late. A peek back toward his car showed that he was nowhere near the road he parked on. Instead deep into dark and frosting woods. It hit him like a train, a sudden dread overcame Jamie like it never had before. The world spun and he froze. Jamie passed out before he could experience much more and awoke in a soft bed inside the chateau. He made every effort to leave but alas all his attempts were in vain. Now he seeks to investigate the odd building in hopes of finding a way to escape.
