Sorry if i sound like a prick but the people who keeps saying this looks original might not have seen the anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion" The shape of this machines body is VERY similar to Sachiel from said anime.

I being a long time Evangelion fan can agree with the statement to a point. While they have a lot of similarities they are both very distinct, enough so that I can imagine them having evolved independently without the other having to be seen before. They both are organic based, and if you're looking to make an organic looking creature its likely you'll fall into similarities with something. That being said it is also possible that there was inspiration taken from Evangelion's Sachiel. Overall it is original enough, nothing is completely original anymore, some things look alike even though artists have never met or seen each others art, its bound to happen sooner or later. No argument here, in fact I agree on your point to a degree ^-^Β
As a side note. I imagine not many of them have seen Neon Genesis Evangelion, its an older anime and fewer and fewer people are going back to watch it. Its also hard to watch to begin with, never mind The End Of Evengelion... *Shivers*Β
