They had set camp, and a general needs to do something to soothe his nerves, clam down and relax :3

Well, there weren't many things to do back then to calm down, especially around soldier encampments. It's either drinking, or having sex, two activities he doesn't seem very interested in X3
So, why not hunting and skinning a stag? Manual labor is calming for people who don't have to do it for a living

Well , i guess that in between to battles , Tywin prepares the plans and strategy to win the next one , while his pretty useless officers do what they do best i guess
And i totally agree , keeping your hands busy and allowing your brain cool down really is calming .

Well , people already call me a mad woman because i support House Lannister , almost the whole of it , or the whole of it from times to times ( i do not consider Joffrey as a Lannister ) , but that i know i'm not the only one ...

No seriously , i know very few people liking Tywin , most people do or claim to hate him because of various reasons ( most common is because he's mean with " poor " Tyrion ) .
And most of those few people i know are show watchers , because in the show Tywin is epicness incarnated
I mean com'on , how can you dislike Charles Dance on screen ? Impossible , at least to me
Point is i read the books too and liked Tywin in the books , so you can't even say that i was influenced by the show

Lots of draw/erase/redraw and lots of tiny lines here and there and the same amount of tiny erasing as well. Charles Dance has a characteristic eyes and I wanted to make the drawing recognizable - though I feel I haven't done it as well as it should be.
