Look Ma! I painted something. No lines!(dude, arufa, thanks a heap, wouldn't have tried if it weren't for you 8D)
Lining is probably the part I like the LEAST about digital drawing, but it only JUST occurred to me to skip it ... lulz ... This has been great fun. No lines, no layer-switching, no worries! This way I can actually get stuff within a day which is ... phenomenal by my snail-pace standards. (Plus after 6-7 weeks of Cirno I really needed a fast one to bring me back to life heh.)
ANYWHO ... what do we have here? Mami and Charlotte teaming up, what what? Actually the fusion idea came from this cool character called Samantha from the game Stretch Panic, who wields a snake-whip thing. She vaguely resembles Mami ... so I decided to give her a cosplay so-to-speak. >=3 The whip was just asking to be made into Charlotte, heh.
Huge thanks to Logos for saying Charlotte should have been a SP boss ... and for doing a very cool redesign of Sam [link] [link] which first got me interested in the character. And for inadvertently convincing me to watch Madoka with some Charlotte fanart at that.
I look forward to doing more fanart from this crazy-cool series ... eventually ...

Characters belong to their respective owners, not to me, but I sure-as-hell redesigned em. (Apologies to Charlotte-fans if you dislike me for taking her cuteness away. =[ But c'mon, T-Rex-skulls are cute too, right?)

Oh my gosh, someone else who noticed how Stretch Panic and Madoka Magica are so similar to each other.
I noticed that too when I got into the series. In fact, it's part of the reason why I like it so much.

It wasn't me so much as the friend who got me into Madoka, who's shared that many different games' fandoms with me, heh. But it's strange how the bizarro-artstyle of the two have so much in common.A

I know that is what I thought the first time when I saw the boss fights on Youtube and Madoka. Plus they are similar on how they change since I keep thinking those demons are around the area between Familiars and Incubators.

You're not alone. I also noticed that the Levels where you fight the sisters look similar to Witch Barriers too (with the weird surreal-looking style and all), and such, and how the "Vanity Sisters" forms all have to do heavily with who they were before, just like the Witches too!

Oh, painting without lines can be tricky. Sometimes I make a lineart half way in the painting process. >_< The easiest thing to do would probably just draw a lineart, colour it, and then blend the lines into the painting.

I still paint 'lines' first even if painting, but rough guides and not the clean ones I used to adhere to. I really dunno how to start painting just with blobs, I still think in terms of building shapes from lines first - I really admire your traditional Alice piece for going with the former. Great suggestion though, I was thinking towards that as a possible approach in future.

Developing something out of paint blobs is not the easiest thing to do. >_< But I would recommend line-blending/overpainting, try it.

Samantha had it coming though, she seems to be the coolest of the sisters (with the limited SP knowledge that I have eh) and most deserving of a cross-fandom level-up. ^^

Not bad for a painted pic! I find it quite hard t do digital painting with out some for of guidelines or line art to follow with. Otherwise I'd go all over the place! lol

Well a base-sketch is a given, but I did that with a broader brush too instead of a fine pen-like setting. Then I painted over it instead of colouring under - MUCH more liberating, I find. Maybe you could give it a try? Never know if it'd suit your fancy. =3

Sayaka's witch form is probably the one I'm most-itching to do a take on, other than Charlotte, but she's so complex I'll have to think carefully before I try. Then there's Walpurgisnacht, definitely. The other witches are simpler but not as interesting. Time will tell I guess - thank you for your interest! ^^ And your English seems fine to me!
