I've wandered into the land of deterministic fractals while doing something completely different... but I just had to see what I can do there with my tools.
This might not look much like a fractal - and barely is one, with just 1 or 2 (depending on how to look at it) iterations of a complex polynomial...which of course means that it is all just 2D.
