Actually I like that you stopped short of their hair. Normaly your lack of shading tends to frustrate me. But thats only because I'm so damned determined to color your work without losing your outlines.
But with this, the fact that the hair is shaded but the rest of them isn't adds an accidental charm to it. It really highlights that part of their anatomy and attracts the eye to someplace that normaly you wouldn't look. Anime hair styles are so cliche these days you tend to drink them in and take them for granted.
But this really stands out as vivid. Likewise with the eyes, which carry the same...deepeness in color. Wether you intended to or not, this was really successful in moving me.

Oh its no problem. Either I'll give in and learn to do line art, or I'll figure out this color technique by ear and keep the overall feeling of your art.
And anyways, my dad's an artist, and graduated with honors. I'm more of a writer myself, but he's passed on a fair chunk of respect and understanding for art and what makes it work. When I see a good artist, I can't help but commend their work.
