Hey everyone...I know I haven't uploaded much work for a while, I barely have some time for personal work. But what a hell...here is a cover I did for Marvel, I did 2 versions of this cause they thought this was too dark for a cover. So...what's your opinion? Day or night?all photoshop cs 4 ( I looooooooove it!)

both are good but i prefer the day version.
it stands out better with the bright saturated colors. and this might be important when you put the comic on a newsstand among dozens of other issues.

Night. I like how The torch's glow stands out on the other characters more. I like the contrast.

I think I enjoy the day version the best, torch really looks epic with that sun behind him, he really looks like he is on fire, I think in this version his colors are too muted and he should be a bit more saturated, I love the highlites on spiderman and ironman in this darker piece but i think cap doesn't get to shine much as equally. Anyway I love both but the daytime piece seems stronger in my opinion, great job either way

Personally like the night version the best. But I can see that they'd want a lighter version to go with the "bromance" theme.

yea man, I think they both have their own qualities of awesomeness! Even tho the Torch stands out more in the night, the daytime does kinda bring a glowy, "aura" type light to the characters.and AWESOME textures on Iron Man btw!

I prefer this one, although I think itΒ΄s a bit too dark...
But I do prefer Captain AmericaΒ΄s face in this one, also the details on spideys muscles, and a more metallic feeling on iron manΒ΄s suit than in the "day" version... if youΒ΄d be able (IΒ΄m sure you are) to take these to the day version, or maybe make a bit more of contrast to make characters stand out a little bit more(i think that also would lighten un the scene a bit) that would be the perfect scene

They are both interesting in their own ways, but the dynamic look of the secondary lighting in this version rocks my socks.

The Night version is better, but sincerelly, that Captain America has one creepy face...
I still can see how the evening one looks better for a cover..

I like both but I probably like the day just a smidgen better. I think that if you would focused on Torch and/or the moon being the primary light source, and brightened those up a bit, it could have made it brighter without losing the realism. Outstanding work, regardless.

I'm sure it's been said but the light from the Human Torch gives a really nice glow to it. The shadows I think also just make it pop so much more.
I also want to say the shine on Iron mans shoulder looks *really* good.

yeah, I bassically had to redo the whole image.The only character that had minimun change was human torch. Right now I'm working on a Hulk tittle. Hopefully I'll upload some of that soon, thanks for droppin by, I love ur work!

Night for sure. Mostly because of the lighting mister Human Torch is giving off makes the surrounding characters look awesome. Nice job!

this one works better. Johnny storm doesn't get lost in it. plus the secondary light he gives off just makes it look way better.
