So I tried to draw one of the new gelflings back in December when the announcement was first made who the protagonists of AoR would be. Then I kind of forgot about the drawing until about a week ago. I can't say I like this picture too much, but it seemed a waste to leave it unfinished. The colours remind me ofShrek here imho omg XD


This is Deet, a grottan gelfling, and seemingly fan-favourite from amongst the three gelflings that were shown in December, I certainly think she has the cutest design out of the three protagonists that were announced and I am eager to learn more about her

You draw gelflings in a way I could call ancient The type of face reminds me of ancient egyptians paintings.

Ah, I'm looking forward to the new series so much! I haven't seen that much art for it yet, which I suppose makes sense considering we don't have much to go on except a teaser trailer and some pics. Either way this drawing is adorable and seeing it made me

Me too! I'm truly hoping we might get some more previews soon, I know Netflix has kind of a habit of keeping everything quiet until like a month before release dates, but I'm hoping that maybe we might get some more pics or teaser trailers soon I haven't seen much fanart for it yet either, not on dA anyway, but I hope to see much more if we get some more previews soon, that would be a dream come true (both the preview and more fanart, I mean). I really love how you drew Deet, Zure! sheΒ΄s looking amazing here (shrecky or not) and I absolutely love the texture you gave to her clothes and the smoothness of her skin! ^^ sheΒ΄s really cute here! Thank you, La I was experimenting with giving her shirt some texture, I do wonder if it kind of backfired though with the more simplistic designs of the rest of the picture, so I'm glad you like it I'm curious too, a lot of people have drawn her as cutesie - me included - it would be hilarious if in the series she either turned out to be super serious and stern, or oppositely a childish brat I wonder what she will really be like in teh series, I hope an interesting and great character <3

I actually thought she was Drenchen, due to her colouring, I am guessing she is one of the major characters of the series, seeing the newer pictures have shown her too.I hope she is an interesting character as well.

I heard that the colour palette was originally meant for a Drenchen but they thought it suited Deet so well that they gave it to her. Hopefully AoR will provide an explanation for this, maybe she's a mix of Drenchen and Grottan? She's certainly the most popular of the three, I hope she will be a good character too
