I think that this is one of my favorite polymer clay pieces -EVER
However, I do still need to improve my wood faux technique

This is really cute, I really like the idea and the execution, his pose is well done, the earring are lovely too and it makes a nice set.
The main issue for me here is that it doesn't really look that much like a kitten, the ears seem to be too far up its head and normally cats don't have ears like that, they should be placed more to the sides. Also, the eyes are not very cat like, I think is a good idea to observe carefully pictures of cats so you can represent better its features on your clay piece.
I think the pose is adorable and well done, I really like the lower part of his body and how he's holding the leaf, however some of the edges seem a bit rough, especially around its tail, I can't say for sure since I can't touch it but it looks like the edges are not as smooth as they could be.
Additionally, I think is a good idea to add different angles of the piece, it's a little bit hard for the viewer to completely appreciate artisan crafts with only the front view.
Overall, is really lovely work, I really like the wood pattern; it's well done and looks like real wood.

I do realize that the cat's anatomy is incorrect, I was stylizing it -hence the also incorrect anaomy on the legs/feet
I see what you mean by the rough edges, I think when I was applying the faux wood sheet over, I may have pressed it awkwardly
