Poke'dex:
Radiaunt is a new poke'mon recently discovered in the Chubu's Northern region, at the very tip of the continent.

After the nuclear explosion of the Kai Bomb in the Juuto region 40 years ago, the leftover nuclear radiation leaked down to the very northern tip of the Chubu region, the only location affected by the northern neighboring country's nuclear mishap.

Small stones from the earth of the neighboring country drifted to the Chubu region, and it was discovered that when certain poke'mon who are able to hold this 'Radioactive Decay' evolve into strange new poke'mon of abstract nature. Some evolve after levelling up, exposed to the decay's radioactive qualities, some evolve when traded holding the Radioactive Decay, and others evolve in different manners.

However the very first 'Nuclear' type poke'mon evolution discovered was "Radiaunt", the Atomic Ghost poke'mon.

When a Haunter holds a 'Radioactive Decay' and is traded, it evolves into a Radiaunt. It gains the "Nuclear" type, giving it atomic radiation qualities and abilities, altering its atomic structure. Since Haunter is a ghost poke'mon with such unstable atomic structure as it is, scientists theorize this played a hand it it reacting to the radioactive decay's qualities, enabling it to evolve and adapt to the radiation.

Radiaunt is safe to touch, as its body's outer shell contains no radiation, its when it opens up its mouth and uses its tongue, glowing pink with radiation, that you'd best watch out.

By using its signature attack 'Glow Lick' Radiaunt can inflict paralysis 50% of the time. If this isn't a powerful enough attack, Radiaunt can also use 'Teleport' to escape from battle, transferring its particles at a rapid pace, teleporting it and its trainer to a nearby and safe location. Trainers are not advised at this time to use this attack, for scientsits and researchers are still studying this poke'mon to see if its exposure to trainers during this particle-enforced teleportation may expose trainers to radiation themselves.

Okay, so I had already planned this poke'mon for quite some time. The overall look, the description, everything (I've been feeling lazy so it never got colored xP) I originally planned for it to be an Electric/Ghost types, but when I saw 's nuclear type poke'mon, I politely asked if I could use their idea of a Nuclear type for my own region, and it worked well to my advantage, especially in designing Radiaunt. ^-^
