Description It kills me inside to see you like this,
To remember what I once was,
To know exactly what you feel;

I can't help but care for you.
For you remind me so much of me.
I don't want my mistakes to pull you down like they did me.

Everything inside me tells me to tell you,
Everything I don't want you to know.
My past is dark and full of mystery,
And to think about things like that,
To remember what I was,
I don't like the feeling of knowing that you do that too.

I wish only my words could help you,
You are one of my best friends,
I want to fix you.

Beautiful piece of writing I have been there with several
people, with different situations. It breaks your heart trying to
"fix" other people. They must fix/help themselves, but you can
help them to get onto that path by sharing your pain with em

Thank you so very much. I talk to this person a lot. They're just like what I was. Inside I die a little to think that they will fall for the same reasons I did.

The road is not easy but I'm hoping I can help her down that path.
