AMERICA BROS FTW. Drawing-wise, I like it; the line work is clean and the lines are very fine, which is always a plus, so I have nothing about the lines to critique. Coloring is a different story; there's very little value. The shading can go much, much darker on every color, so push it past the point of comfort, and don't forget to up the saturation as the shading gets darker. You can always check your values by de-saturating the whole picture. If you can't see the shading in grayscale, then you need to keep working. Even Canada's pants need to be darker; even though they're white, there would still be very visible shading on it.

So yes, drawing-wise, very nice. Coloring-wise could use a bit more work. I know how irritating values can be; the better part of my art classes were spent with my teacher yelling at me to darken my values. XD But once that barrier is broken, it sure is a good feeling~

dude I love you so hard. this looks awesome~I've never seen you draw them before but I love them in your style so much

As for a critiq... I think Canada's left shoulder looks off; almost like it's too far back in association with the rest of his body and doesn't match up with the other shoulder. Your coloring also looks flat. you need more contrast between your base colors and shadows to make them pop more. The BG looks too stylized and out of place with the distortment and filter-galleryesc, also having the illusion that it's right up against their backs. Something that pops out mostly from the the smaller version is an invisible line that is formed by the eye from one of canada's curl ends to the top of America's ear. It may just be too close and you may need to shift one or the other slightly up or down to get ride of that effect. But looking at the overall image and close up the hands are supurb~ Many people cheat on them but you showed all the joints and placed them nicely on the body so they don't look too hidden or unnatural~ Keep up the good work Tori

baaah, thank you ;; nobody ever critiques my stuff so this means a lot to me
I see what you mean with his shoulder. I was originally trying to get them into similar poses, but it didn't end up that way, and I never fixed his shoulder lol.
And I noticed myself that it wasn't bold enough haha. It bothers me a lot, because I want it to be bolder. I'm not sure what to fix though. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the fact that I used grey lineart instead of black though, and also the paleness of the colors that I used.
I'm not too happy with the background either, but I wasn't sure what else to put there lol. Any suggestions?
And ah, thank you~ I like hands a lot, I hate hiding them. I actually think I draw them better out and exposed in the open then hidden in pockets lol.
But thanks again~! ilu betsy <3

I actually don't think the lineart has much to do with the flatness haha I think that if you use shades of red/dark red, brown and purple it'll pop a lot more.

I don't mind the BG it just looks....Odd maybe. Maybe if you made it into a waving flag behind them -patriotic much? haha- that fades from one countries into the other. That might look kinda cool
