Yeah, I agree, I thought of the fates as soon as I saw the picture! It's wicked, I might add! I love the mix of sketched + unfished + continuous line + the background style...and I just think his hands kick all ass I'll give it a fave!

wow.. I can't believe how wonderfully textured that is, despite being a 'fun quick drawing', and all the sketchiness! The hands are absolutely gorgeous. You've like, gotten the essence of old-skinned hand. damn.

keep practicing, you'll get there. (i know, cliche)

when i started oils, my first portraits looked like something from 'the blob'

hehe, I hope so! I spend quite alot of time practicing 'wrist control' as it is, cos my teacher says I need to work on it. T___T
