Hey, not a problem. Although I wasn't sure how much photography experience you had, I had just picked up the shutter bug last year. I learned night time / low light photos are one of the more challenging shots to get but well worth taking the time to do right. In fact, I kind of wish there were some fireworks going on soon around here so I could try my hand at it... there's just something so fascinating about colorful things exploding above your head.

You win! What's the prize? A super-cool, one of a kind, collectors edition response from 1sand0s! It goes something like this... "Could you let me know where I am? I got lost a while back and haven't been able to find me yet." That is all.
I find they use "nearby" in the loosest sense of the term. I've seen nearby deviants half the US away... but I suppose when you are talking about the entire WORLD, that is pretty darn close still.

Yup, sure am. What kind of stuff do you fold? I didn't see any origami when I browsed through your gallery but that just means you haven't posted anything. Unless it's hidden or I am unobservant... which my money is on the latter.
I had originally joined the Artisan Crafts Club for the sake of origami. That was before I realized the origami category could just be browsed... Were you looking for something in particular? While I've not found any origami clubs either, there are many folders out there and I might be able to point out what you're looking for.

Ohh, I fold pretty much anything with a diagram, though I prefer action (right now, the paper spring), animal, and modular models. The reason you didn't see anything is that I absolutely suck when it comes to photography; even if I put something up the model will end up looking worse than it actually is.
*sigh* Regrettably, I've been looking forward to joining a few clubs rather than simply finding origami. I enjoy individual models, but it seems everyone is too timid to put the diagrams to their models up.

Ah, I see. When I started dA, I just used a crappy cell phone camera. Photo quality wasn't that important since I had no purpose with dA besides having fun and seeing how people liked my stuff. I quickly realized after browsing through other galleries that photo quality WAS important to convey the physical models across a digital medium. So I invested in a decent digital camera and learned what I needed of photography. I think it's a good investment of time because you start looking at objects with a different mindset, which will help in other areas of art as well.
I don't think timidity has anything to do with lack of diagrams. It takes time to sit down and make a good diagram of a fold. Not to mention most people are more interested in the finished product being displayed. Personally, I've put up a couple of tutorials and plan on adding more. Of course, I get most my folds from books and always give credit to the author in my comments. If you see something you like from my gallery, you can find a copy of the book and voila! I just buy a book or two at a time so it's not too heavy on the wallet and having these books is a great reference. As for others, they'll let you know where they found the diagram if you ask. Oh, and there is a sub-category for tutorials. If people do make diagrams, they'll probably add it there instead of papercrafts. You might try searching for "origami tutorial" using dA as well.
Anyhow, I hope to see some of your stuff! I always love seeing how different people take the same folds and apply different styles to them.

I sure have, although it wasn't until half way through folding my 1000 that I read about her. When I started I just knew that the crane was a symbol of luck/prosperity in Japan and that folding 1000 was something special. And as long as there is paper within my grasp, it shall be folded.
