Well I kind of gave up on attack on titan full stop, I think Ava's demon just had more mystery and the characters seemed to have a bit more complexity to them.

I find the characters quite interesting in Ava's Demon. However, one of the characters who should deserve more respect and more interest is TITAN. He is such an interesting anti-villan. He's a corporate, warmongering, godlike, proselytizing, brainwashing, Pope-like dictator who somehow shows benevolence to his followers. TITAN is really a fascinating villain, and yet, even the Ava's Demon fans haven't acknowledged his unusual character. Not only that, but because he is a cold, detached, aloof figure, he almost seems like an embodiment of a religious-military-industrial-corporate-complex. 

Man, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who pays attention to this stuff...

haha no you're so not xP Its really clear that Titan symbolizes those's things, he is like a self-made god. Its awfully intriguing, I can't wait to see what he is like in person. There is a very amazing book trilogy I finished not long ago called 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami (highly recommend) anyway a character in it is a cult-leader and he is so so interesting. He is intimidating, and has this unnerving presence and yet he remains human...i can't really explain this properly im not a writer. But yeah, I'd love Titan to be like that and not a cliché...

Yes, in at least four months from now. By the way, have you ever watched Avatar: the Last Airbender? I certainly have, and I think it's a beautiful show.

I adore that show, I was pretty obsessed with it when I was growing up :3 shame the legend of korra wasn't as good.

I agree Legend of Korra wasn't as good, although I wouldn't say it's terrible. For some reason, the original is usually better than the sequel. I think the worst parts of Legend of Korra are the awkward pacing, the rushed romantic sub-plot, and the shortened season length. I really hope the next season for Legend of Korra is of decent length and quality.

Yeah I think season 2 will be a lot better...as long as these ease up on the poorly written love triangle crap and start developing these characters a bit more...I mean did Korra change at all through out season 1...nope, and thats a problem.

I agree. If there's one thing with which I had a few gripes in both Korra and Airbender is the romantic subplot in each. In Avatar: the Last Airbender, the subplot concerning Aang and Katara was very drawn-out and somewhat lacklustre at times. In Legend of Korra, the romance felt rushed, contrived, and even a little bit predictable. I can't believe I'm a guy who's commenting on romance. Oh well, I suppose romance is like the washrooms of a building. You may not go to the building specifically for its washrooms, but if the washrooms suck, it ruins your impression of the overall building no matter how good the rest of the building is. The same can be said about the relationship between romance and anime. 

As far as character development is concerned, you are definitely right. Korra and some of the supporting cast felt two-dimensional, especially when regarded in light of the original cast. In the original cast, I admired how each person in Aang's party had distinctive, not-so-overused personality traits and combinations. Aang is free-spirited, cheerful, but understands his limitations and isn't some cardboard romanticized hero. Katara is generally kind and caring although she can demonstrate an overly protective, aggressive motherly side to her. Toph is an awesome tomboy who rejects traditional ideas regarding girls, and I find this particularly interesting because the Avatar: The Last Airbender setting takes place in a medieval Far East setting. And Sokka, that guy is just plain amusing and yet very helpful. 

Just out of sheer curiosity, have you ever checked out the video series "RWBY "? If you haven't, then that's fine. Thus far, it's mediocre in virtually everything save the animation and soundtrack.

Yeeees someone else who gets the korra is really inferior I agree with all of your points totally!

I have checked it out, i forgot about it for a while, until a youtuber I watched reviewed it. It was okay, a very shallow piece of work. But the fight scenes were still super fun to watch haha

Are you talking about the web-series itself as opposed to the mere trailers? If so, I definitely agree it's very shallow. I honestly don't understand why RWBY should get such a positive reputation. Well, at the very least, there is a sizeable minority that dislikes it.
