Hi, sorry for the late reply wasn't near a net connection for a while. No i do not currently live on Lesvos as I am studying in the UK but I am there whenever there are breaks in my studies.

Summer for instance is a certain 3 month break to the island, and Easter and Christmas workload permitting are also potential visits to the island.

Are you from Lesvos? I first heard of it because I used to drink coffee at a coffeeshop here in Stavanger and the owner is from Erossos / Scala Erossos. I've only been once (last summer) but I really fell in love with the place. I went outside of the main tourist season, so i ehm, "missed out" on the more (in)famous aspects of the nightlife, and met a lot of nice, local people. Spent many of my evenings at the Blue Sardine, the taverna on the very end of the "strip" at Scala Erossos.

Yes I am from Lesvos, to be fair I am not too familar with the bars / restaurants in the Eressos area as I am from the northen part of the island a village called Skalohori.

Having said that, I make sure i visit Eressos every year due to the "(in)famous aspects of the nightlife" as you put it, I just haven't made the effort to learn the names of shops...just how to get there.

It is a beautiful island and if you do go again while Eressos is one of the better places for nightlife I would recommend you look into some of the smaller villages (if you are interested in the islands culture) as you will find some great little shops, restaurants and cafés which will not be found in the more built up "tourist areas"
