Only when I draw mechanical objects I tend to keep the sketch "clean".
Plus coloring in PS was already planned and I wanted clear flats for every particular local color.
ItΒ΄s totally different with organic things like humans, at least for my self.
In this case you need the free flow of the lines to mimic posture etc.
My practice sketches of the human body often have a line quality to them wich I would never label as clean lines. But they are still convenient.
