Been using Zbrush since June last year.. but uni gets in the way 
I am doing Scott Eatons digital figure course, then plan to do a bunch of figure sculpts, then onto creating game characters for my portfolio

discount anatomy book D: I like being self taught since I had a
lot of bad experiences in college, it was just a big waste or money.

I ordered this one "Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist by Stephen Rogers Peck" .. it was the only one I could find that wasn't $100 + and good thing it's placed second in his list. (waiting for it to arrive)

I hate university, all my tutors are idiots and all 3D units are model an environment, texture it and place it in a game engine... and then do some animation. Oh and pretty much just copy tutorials from Digital Tutors even though we get access to it lol. /end rant lol.

Yea I had some terrible experiences in my University, let's just say
that in a "Graphic Arts" degree I did nothing but wood carving. x_x
University is a huge waste of money especially for art, unless you have
a job in mind that requires it like Doctor or Lawyer.
Nowdays all the info you need for anatomy and tutorials for apps you can
find them online for free, that's how I'm learning Zbrush, I'm using
Digital tutors too ^^

Agreed, although luckily for me degrees here don't cost insane amounts of money like they do in the US.
I also heard that if you have a degree it's a quicker process to get into the US to work..
I gave up using Digital Tutors, some of the stuff was alright for getting started, though. Good luck!

GA-HQ Challenge #2: Villains!Our first Video Game Art Challenge started in October and was all about Nintendo.
It resulted in illustrations of both known characters like Rosalina but also pretty unknown ones inlcuding even Golden Sun and the Wonderful 101.
Our new one is all about villains in video games! Can you illustrate those evil guys like Ganondorf, Vaas Montenegro, Kefka Palazzo, Sephiroth, Handsome Jack, Wario etc?
You can either choose one of these characters OR if you want a real challenge let me give you a choice between only three villains. I am mostly choosing those which are not so easy to illustrate of course.
Rules:
Counting all ALL villains, antagonists and bosses in video games, this means that stage bosses can be claimed as well as evil fighting game characters like M.Bison or Shao Kahn or the big antagonists or villains of a game like those mentioned above.
Each character can be chosen by only one artist. Exceptions are different forms or designs. Like Ganon the boar like boss from the
