I went back and reread the Charlie journal from Preston, and I noticed your conversation with a one Lamia-Moonwing. I have to say, not very good taste on her end suggesting someone to go die on a journal (more or less, it was more about Preston) about people being gunned down by intolerant people.

Look, I'm sorry I suggested someone to go get an honest 9 to 5 job instead of asking his fans to donate money so he couldΒ perhaps update his DA once in a while, but when you want people to give you money for consistent art, you need to actually post art to do so.

In fact I've been one of those people who gave said advice. If he wants to get people to donate to him, he's going to have to prove it by uploading content and maintaining a fair release schedule. Otherwise, who is going to donate to a guy based on words alone that maybe he'll post something this month?
If anything, it looks like he just wants money without doing anything to earn it and that's not fair to your fans.

People who are actually, legitimately fans of what Dobson has put out over the past years will overlook the fact that there's been a drought just through these last three to six months.
They know what he is capable of, and they'll donate hoping that they'll be able to see those capabilities again.
It's a fact that the money being donated to Dobson will go directly towards those hopes.

Aside from that, I agree. Tom's tweets are worth ten a penny as is. His artwork maybe worth slightly moreso. Why anyone would pay him monthly for his quality of art is beyond my comprehension. Given his work ethic, I doubt it will be even satisfying to support him via Patreon seeing how he loves to tweet so much.
