I think the challenge that you have thought up is quite interesting. I remember when I started doing visual art things were so awful. :D (Big Grin) I actually started my learning from where most people tend to finish and now I am trying to learn what most people learn at the start

Cool. Thanks for the insight. I'm having a lot of fun with it. Also, I really like the effect of your brush strokes on the Hill with Flowers...and the sky too.

I am happy you thought so. The effect comes from the knives naturally, though.

You're welcome. I think the fact that you didn't render his legs gives him some character. And the pencil strokes give it a unique style. Love it.

Actually it´s very common to start painting in black and white. It´s because I don´t know how to paint that I choose to make things easier by managing only light without pigment. Thank you again!

I've seen a lot of monochrome paintings and I know lots of folks do this sort of work in learning to assess value, but I just really thought yours was unique. It's very low contrast. Very soft. Nice. Thanks for sharing.
