Brief History on Frederick the Great:
Childhood:
I was born on January 24, 1712
As a child I was beaten by my father, but none the less I did my best to read and practice in literature and the arts. (mainly Voltaire and music)
Late Teens - Young Adult:
As an attempt to get away from my abusive father I tried to run away with my Lover Katte, (Ask-Katte) but that went all wrong. We got captured, I was sentenced to prision till further notice, Katte was sentenced to be executed.
I was forced to watch him lose his head.
He was decapitated on November 6, 1730
I was only 18 years old when it happened.
After that I was imprisoned for over a year in Kustrin, a military base.
Ruling of Prussia:
I became King on May 31, 1740
I was 28 years old.
I lead Prussia into many battles, most were won but not all.
Eventually, like all mortals I grew older,
and older,
Until eventually my life came to an end.
I died August 17, 1786
I was 74 years old.

In your art. It's something I've seen often in other people's art as well, is there a source that describes Frederick as brunet somewhere?

((OOC: I've never found a source that says he's a brunet but I've also never found one saying what his hair color was to begin with. Along with all the paintings of him showing him wearing a powdered wig since that was the fashion of the time there was really nowhere to look. I chose for him to be a brunet because due to my design of him especially in my art style at the time if he was blond he would have easily been mistaken for France which I was trying to avoid and with no historical records to say otherwise I could kinda pick whatever I thought was best.

No problem, I've just seen... well, a lot of people drawing him as a brunet. There are two known portraits of him as a child without a wig on on which he's blond and since Wilhelmina was bitching about how awful dark hair is in her memoirs while simultaneously saying that her brother is the prettiest young man in the entire country, I'd say it's safe to assume his hair wasn't too dark ^^ But apparently Germans and Americans define blond differently anyway, so there's that.
About the height (I don't want to spam your inbox by answering to two threads at once...): I was not as much confused by you (I mean, heights of historical figures ARE hard to find at times (STILL trying to find out how tall Katte was...)) as I was by that person claiming to be an expert saying that Fritz was 5'8" while also saying that he was short... I'm sorry if I came off as rude. By the way, I really hope you get to see Sanssouci and the New Palace, both are absolutely stunning. And if you still want to watch documentaries: "Friedrich - Ein deutscher KΓΆnig" is quite nice. I ended up rambling as well, I'm sorry.
