You're welcome. You're doingto cool pics with Mass Effect models. What software are you using?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rastifan In reply to Barwickian [2012-08-06 22:28:42 +0000 UTC]

I am using Garry's Mod. It is really a physic sand box game, but if you know the program well, you can get decent poses to.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Barwickian In reply to Rastifan [2012-08-15 19:45:54 +0000 UTC]

Unless Garry's Mod has some seriously good rendering and texturing, you must have done a lot of postwork in that.

Either that, or I've paid good money for commercial- and sometimes pro-grade software when a $10 mod can do all that.

I think you must be a dab hand with Photoshop, and you definitely have a good eye.

Rastifan In reply to Barwickian [2012-08-15 20:03:55 +0000 UTC]

I work in Gimp in fact. I do some postwork in it. Photoshop is way overpriced. But GMod has something called post processing. And knowing what maps to use and knowing the secretes of using lamps and light bulbs makes for good work.

GMod has a undeserved rep because so many 12 year old's with no clue have been flooding the net with crap poses.

Barwickian In reply to Rastifan [2012-08-15 20:25:37 +0000 UTC]

That's mucg the same with higher-end renderers them: maps and lighting is probably 90% of the battle (and shaders are the other 10%).

I may just get myself a copy of this. I notice it comes with Counterstrike on Steam. It's been a long time since I played Counterstrike...

And I wonder if there's a way to get these Mass Effect geometries and textures into Poser...

A very belated thank-you for adding Pilgrim of the Year to Be to your favourites. I'm normally quicker at thanking people, but the DD resulted in a rather overwhelming amount of interest.

Heh, cool. I thought she'd be wearing fewer clothes, tbh.

My turn, what do you think of my stuff and do you recommend any groups for me to join? I'm a complete n00b here.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Barwickian In reply to Rayn3ll [2011-12-28 17:36:25 +0000 UTC]

I can put her in fewer clothes if you like, but she is supposed to be wearing armour.

I love your art. It's getting better and better.

Groups I'm not sure about; most of he ones I'm in are for 3D art. There are several ones for traditional and hand-drawn digital art, and many based around themes (such as fantasy art), however they're made.

You can find groups by browsing or searching the groups from the drop-down on the top left of the screen. I'm sure you'll find some suitable ones.
