Take good care of my girl! c: It's good to know she found a good home, even if it's not with me. Best of luck!

Eh, just being worse than normal. Usually he doesn't give other horses a second glance and he listens to me with no question, but I have major saddle sores from our ride yesterday. He refused to do anything less than a really quick, high-strung trot or canter, and he would keep his head turned toward the neighbors horses even if he was going straight. Lots of bolting. And scared me half to death when he over jumped the creek I couldn't see at first. I dunno what's gotten into him. Once he's trained, I plan on trading or selling him, though, so I need to figure him out. xD

Well... All I can think of that speedy used to do that A LOT, (he still does, rarely) So I would get off him and walk him around the ring, pasture, where ever we were, once or twice util he calmed down. Then I got back on. It's a hassle at first but it showed both of us patience. Idk if you wanna try that tho...

I did back at the barn when he would flip out like that, but once I got back on he'd go right back to doing it. And through the entire walk, no matter how many laps we would do, he would prance beside me and never calm down. I'll try it again the next time we're down there, though. But he has A LOT of stamina. That brat can canter for EVER. without hardly breaking a sweat.

Haha! Sounds like he has a lot of energy! How old is he again? Speedy breaks a sweat trotting in 60 degree weather... lol. Old men. Anyways, Speedy used to do that, leading me instead of me leading him. I'd say try backing him up using pressure control? I was taught pressure control when he was at my cousins. And let me tell you, it works. I think you could look it up online if you'd like!

He's almost as old as me! He's a 14 year old Quarab gelding, which is where I think he gets the stamina from. (The Arabian in him, lmao) he isn't really fast, so his gallop feels like a normal horse transitioning to a gallop. You know? But he's a lot easier to ride because of that. And when he knows he's disobeying me at a trot, he moves into this dramatically slow trot and its sooo weirdddd! I have NO idea what they were trying to train him to be. His training is all over the board. I'll definitely look up pressure control, thanks for letting me know about it! When we first got him, he had NO manners and would literally walk all over me. Now he'll walk beside me with his head down on good days and other days, I'll either be at his barrel or he'll be waaay behind me. I don't know what his deal is.

Yep, part of speedy's dilemma. He's 14?! I thought he was like 4 or something! lol. Anyways, a bit of advice... through this whole "disaster" I had with speedy... I jumped to the conclusion to sell him, or retire him. I wasn't thinking. And I think he knew what I felt. He suddenly changed, you could see it in his eyes. But if it becomes too dangerous to keep him, definitely do what your gut (or your parents...lol) tell you, for your safety! (:

Nah. Ray is like 4 or 5. When they go in to get COH updates I'm going to get their ages and heights down more accurately. So far he's gotten out of the potentially dangerous habits of his, except for him ignoring me around other horses and being a super hyper freak half the time. If it gets to where I can't handle him, I'll let our Amish farrier work with him a bit. He broke the gaits on ray after my near death experience when we first got him and now my baby boy is a dream. :3

Pretty much, yeah. I didn't even know I was getting drift/really even think of getting another horse until they told me I had him. He was like some type of emergency rescue and they couldn't keep him anymore because of overcrowding or whatnot. So I have no solid info on him or anything.
