Awesome man, im glad i can recruit more mike patton fans, just recently, well not really i went to mikes concert with Fantomas and I must say, it was almost amazing, best day in my life, past and future. If your willing to expand your musical knowledge, I really suggest Fantomas, another awesome band of mike pattons, not for the faint of heart though, lots of noise and sporadic music. IM really glad your getting into faith no more and mr bungle, they are my two fave bands, what cds have you heard of thiers so far?

I have a thin economy, might get some when it gets better, do have any albums to recomend?

I highly reccomend "Angel Dust" from Faith No MOre, this was really the height of thier creativity and possible the bestcomposed album i have heard to this day. Remarkable cd. And from Mr Bungle, "Mr Bingle" Slef Titled was thier debut album released on CD, (earlier/better works were on cassest and are kinda rare comodities), is probalby the best place to start with Mr Bungle, as they only have 3 released albums on CD. The later works go in opposite directions and it kinda makes you wanna go what the hell were they doing, they use to be good! But it grows on you and you start to realize the art they were trying to establish. BUt none the less I favor Mr Bungle self titled as a must get for its zany tunes of carnival music and scary stuff but oh so awesome to listen too. ^_^

heh.... I get just as dramatic when i talk about System of a Down..
did you know that Mike Patton is on of SOAD's idols! They said in a inteview that they loved the way he did his own stuff and dident car what people said about him.... Alot of their style is inspired from patton........ SYSTEM OF A DOWN ROCKS!!

I can name a few other bands that liked faith no more and mike patton as well, papa roach and ozzy are the big ones i can remember. Faith No More did a cover of War Pigs in thier first cd with mike patton, ozzy bowed down to them cause they did that song better then himself. muahahahaha

well, i started to listen to him with Faith no More (my FAV band when i was 17 / 1. oooooooh, and yes my FAV album is "Angel Dust" (what an album!). but now, that i have all hir works i know for sure that i looooooooooooooooove Mr. Bungle. i prefer more complex music (music wich makes me think).
once (one of the times he came here to Portugal with TOMAHAWK) i went to see their concert and i had dinner with the band. yeah, what a cool night! he was cool and always freindly to my comments.
right know i'm listening to "Lovage - music to make love to your old lady by" with him and i also like it alot. a little diferent of his kind of work but also great!

the reason that makes me like Mike Patton is that he's maybe the vocalist more "versátil" (sorry! i don't know the work in english) i ever heard. he can sing whatever style he want and still be one of the best on it.

eh eh eh! yeah, i agree with you. not many people like Mike Patton. i saw him several times live (with Fantomas, Faith no More (their last concert), Tomahawk and Mr Bungle). it seams he likes Portugal alot.
so, you have 18! add 10 years to that and that's my age.

i bought some weeks ago a record (a very hard and heavy, with alot of speed) from a band i can't remember the name now and Mike Patton entered on it. WOW! he sure turned that record into a AWESOME record.
i will tell you next weekend the name of that band, ok?

Is the band called DEP? Dillenger Escape Plan? IF it is then, oh yae, that band is major bad ass with mike patton in it, really hardcore. I have this one mp3 of that band playing a live version of some Justin Timberlake song, its really funny. I just recently got the new fantomas cd, it is awesome, if you havent picked it up already, you should go get it, a must have, its really unique, not much music in it, but wierd enough its really good. The composistion of the sounds and everything was done really well, it makes you feel like your watching a horror movie. You should really check it out. Another band you should check into it Secret Chiefs 3, its made up of some Mr Bungle members after thier break up. Its really cool music, its kinda like indian techno rock. Sleepy Time Gorilla Musuem is also a good band to listen too, they are kinda like Secret Chiefs 3. You should check them out, great music ^_^

Lovage, thats a good cd too. Its really mellow which is a change. I like more of his sporadic style like in fantomas and Tomahawk. I would also have to agree with Mr Bungle, ive really havent heard anything like what that band makes like on Disco Volante hahaha. I feel so ashamed, I havent been to any of his concerts but im planning on going to one soon. I got into his work at around 15 and im 18 now and i havent touched the radio since, which is good cause the stuff thats flying out around now, just seems so blah to me. Thats what i like about mike pattons work, like you said, he is very versatile, he does alot of stuff, i just love it. I'm glad i found another mike patton fanatic, not to many of my friends really like mike . See ya ^_^

hey its not like i dont like Mike Patton, its just that i dont have enought money to buy a Mike Patton CD, and no one in the world actually has the guts to burn the CD and put it over the internet and distribute for free. i guess they like him too much. and you never let me listen to Mike Patton, only when im in the car getting a ride, but even then you never like to turn it up. i miss that. i'd listen to Mike Patton but i dont think im worthy enough. Well theres kinda no reason to burn cds, cause theres some ftp servers you can go to and they distribute a whole bunch of stuff you can d/l on mike patton. If you want the sites ill be gladly hand them over. Only for true hardcore listeners though, and mikial, i hardly doubt you qualify.......^_^

Yae i pretty much like every style he has done, his solo work is really wierd but when he does collaborations with zorn and other artist like xcutioners i think its really awesome. I just recently ordered Fantomas Delirium Corida and im waiting for it in the mail, should be exciting, heard all the reviews about it ^_^. What is your favorite style of his you like, like as in bands. Mine would have to be Faith No More, which is where i first heard about him, Angel Dust all the way Album Of the Year i also liked alot to but alot of people didnt, i dont know why.
