Not so new. I had an account a long while ago with old and cruddy art that is so different from now and I really didn't have the technology to upload what I had wanted to do for while. So up till about a week ago I helped pay towards a new laptop and now here I am.

It's funny you ask, my next step is to save up for an art tablet. Having one in mind on Amazon, I'll either be saving up for one or hopefully I'll find a second job so I can use my first check from it to purchase it as my first job's earnings go directly to savings (thank my grandparents on that one). Also, I did try one of my good friends tablet and it took me a couple hours to make a decent sketch and oh my the first couple dozen tries were friggin terrible..

The tablet that I've used for years is a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet,
I got mine at Best Buy for $99 bucks.
But the wire on it is getting messed up, so I'll need a new one eventually.
What tablet were you aiming to get? Your grandparents seem pretty helpful.
Pfahaha, yeah I have my first tablet drawing uploaded on here so you can see how my attempt went.
It was just awful drawing, it took forever. You'll get better at it if you're persistent.
 The good thing about digital art is that you don't need to buy supplies anymore and can create out of thin air

Ah, I see. It looks kinda like a Wacom Intuous.
Did you research that one at least to see if it would be good to buy?
I know that the most popular tablet brand is Wacom, I'll stick to those since I don't know about other ones.
If you get really lucky you can find some programs online for free.
You could try those out too.

but I didn't end up ever wanting to get a bigger size.

I use Photoshop myself (though I didn't have to pay for it) so that's why I have it.
Is sai expensive too?

I think its supposed to be under $100 but it's what i've seen big artists use for their speedpaints and such.

Have you had your heart set on paint tool sai for awhile now?
If you for some reason got photoshop instead, at least I could try to help if you needed to learn how to do something

Youtube was really helpful for me when I was learning, so I recommend that also.
You can learn all kinds of things on Youtube.
I can't imagine my life without it now that I've grown up with it.
