studuju jsem češtinu actually, it's hard for me to make full sentences, but when I was in Prague, people understood my simple phrases
I'm a big Nightwish fan too XD about a month ago there was a concert in my country, it was so amazing
XIII. Století helps me to study and understand living Czech language, because now I can only read short textes

I was learning ukrainian language (also from movies and songs by Ruslana etc. - it was when I liked her music - she really changed a lot ) for two years, but I am too lazy to search ever simple letter in cyrillic on my keyboard
Yes, I know. They are going to have a concert in Czech Republic too, but my mother thinks, that metal concert is too dangerous
But there is quite expensive in Prague, so I wait for their concert in Piešťany (in Slovakia) and I hope, that my mom will let me go (Also I have my aunt there)

Yes, I know a few good czech bands. Final Fiction is good, but their texts are in english
But Arakain is good heavy metal band from Czech Republic and their songs are sung in Czech language

yes, there are a lot of singers who became too glamorous and pop, I think, that Ruslana is one of them now.
to tell the truth, my mom didn't wanted to let me go, but I came to the concert with a big company of friends and it wasn't so dangerous. in the end of it, there was many drunked men, so we tried to live the stadium quickly

Well, I am sorry - I wrote a little mistake - I liked a movie "Díky za každé nové ráno" - it's Czech movie, but about life of one czech woman, whose father is from Ukraine, so it's half in czech language and half in ukrainian language with subtitles

Unfortunately - Ruslana was good singer. But I know Nightwish because of her

This is what she is scared of - drunken men

No, I live in one small town near the borders with Slovakia nad Austria
But it's known, that there is expensive in Prague

I tried to watch Czech movies. My last one was "Requiem pro panenku". have you seen it?
my mom scared of them too, but I persuaded her, that there all will be decent
I want to study in Prague sometimes that is the reason why I study Czech
Unfortunately, my lexicon is too poor and I can't talk without a vocabulary
Also, I have a very bad pronouncing aspecially words with "ř"

Well, Prague is very nice, but Brno is better (for me) - it's not as big as Prague and I better know Brno (dammn it - again uncertain by word order )

That was my problem, when I was trying to speak ukrainian - especialy forms of the words like "is" and "isn't"

Yes, "ř" is very difficult even for some Czechs
My younger brother had problem to learn to say it

I've never been in Brno, but a lot of friends of mine studying there. Prague is so beautifull. I fell in love
Ukrainian is rather familiar to czech, so it's easy for me to understand your language. If you will write me smth in czech, I'll understand, but I couldn't answer. But tomorrow I'll start visiting special courses, so I hope, that sometimes I'll write you even a full sentence correctly

Yes, it's much easier to understand ukrainian, than for example russian language (for Czechs). Even the ukrainian cyrillic is easier to understand and learn

My favourite czech books are: "Máj" (K. H. Mácha) and "Kytice" (K. J. Erben) - those book are "pearls of czech literature", but ther're written in older czech language (Máj: "...Dívčina krásná, anjel padlý, co amarant na jaro svadlý..." - well, I am not sure, but maybe you could understand it ), so it could be quite difficult ... But as I wrote - maybe you could understand
I also like "Ohnivé ženy" and "Dívka na koštěti", but you could try something by Ivan Olbracht

Oh, Dobrý voják Švejk is also one of the best Czech books. Probably everyone knows the pharse "Tak nám zabili Ferdinanda"

Maybe you could try to visit some Czech blogs - it could help you with colloquial Czech language
