# About me
I started drawing when I was four and a half years old and I'm thirty-one now. I draw everything from still life to comic book style, from disney to anime. I mainly do character concepts, thats my passion but I am not limited to that, I can do alot more than just that. I've recently gotten into 3d work, so at that I'm a beginner, but not for long cause when it comes to art I learn very quickly.# Comments

No problem, I got a question for you thought, what type of pens do you use for your inks?

Pens are Pigma Micron of various sizes; nibs are Hunt 102 and a larger one (don't know the size) for splatter and brushes range from 0-8 in size.

Yeah I like their .005 for fine lines.

Yep; and if you press hard enough on the end, it will break the filament a little bit, which then gives it almost a 'nib' kinda feel while using it. It allows you to adjust your line weights mid-stroke.

Yeah I had one break on me by accident. The only thing I don't like about them is when for no reason at all ink will flood the cap. Or at least I don't know why they do, hell I had some pens I hadn't used yet do that.
Ok I am not a professional inker, so I'm not sure of the term nib. Is that a type of pen? One more question. Do you erase the pencil led or what do you do? The reason I ask is when I go back and erase I have to go back and darken my inks cause they fade on me.

I can't say I've ever had the ink flood the cap; only good things so far.
A nib refers to crow quill nibs; think old-school feather pens with an ink well. Most traditional inkers use this or a brush.
When I print out a page to ink, I print it out in non-repo blue (often called blueline); when I'm done inking, I scan it in to my computer then use photoshop to get rid of any residual blue.

Ah well that would save me time and a headache.
So do you only ink or do you also do the pencils? You know do you ever draw the picture yourself?

Pretty much all of the work in my gallery is sample inks by me; inks only, no pencils, pencil artists always given credit. Most of the artists I work over have given me permission to use their pieces for sample purposes.
As for pencils, I used to, occasionally still do, but most will probably never see the light of day. More of a personal thing for me.

Oh ok well the reason I was asking is because I was looking to see if I could get someone to draw a couple of my characters in an action pose. I'm good but I'm no pro and I'm not great at action poses, plus I'd like to see my guys done professionally for once. So do you know someone who I could ask to do it?

I won't throw any names out here; that just leads to a LOT of confusion.
My suggestion would be to check the forums here for people who are offering commissions. You may get lucky with someone willing to do it for free, but odds are, you're going to have to pay out of pocket for it.
Cheers, J

For the record I'm not looking for free art, just professional art. Someone good at what they do. Someone who won't charge an arm and a leg. And until I get my comp fixed I'm on this site mainly via my iPhone.

I wasn't suggesting that; merely offering insight into the dA forums.

That's cool, but maybe you could point me in the direction of artists who are good at fantasy art? Cause the characters I want done are fantasy based. You know castles and dragons, wizards and warriors type of stuff.

You know what, ALL the artists I watch here are good...so it's hard to suggest a few out of such a massive lot.
I can tell you that:
1.) is one of my fav artists; he's offering commissions to pay for attending the NYCC.
2.) is one of my fav artists right now; lots of detail. You'd have to ask if he's up for commissions.
3.) has been doing rounds of commissions. Solid artist. Got one myself!
Check out hanzozuken , Max-Dunbar , DON-WALKER & NJValente as well. Hanzo & NJV do commission work as well, but Max & Don are solid artists too.
There's lots more out there. Check my Favorite gallery. Most guys in there will do commissions at one point or another.
