Also, I'd just like to point out that I do believe ranting has a place within the art community, primarily because destruction is a necessity for real creativity. There are genuinely poor ideas about art which stifle creativity and hurt creators and people such as cringe compilations.
As such, there is a need to destroy some things; Death is necessary to pave the way for new life. It can even bring people together by toppling poor ideas and obsessions which were harming creators, since there is a strange camaraderie in reviling anything.
Regardless, there is a selfish way to use it, and it's either by shutting down criticism of peoples' work or going after trivial matters which are flat-out excessive to destroy out of a personal agenda.
There needs to be a balance of constructing, preserving, and destroying, but most ranters far too heavily relied on destruction as a way to exert their energies on other objects and inadvertently preserved what was poor because that's what they themselves were in character.
That's why the ranting community failed, because they were selfish in their destruction and didn't pay enough attention to the construction of better ideas.
(I can't believe I wrote a fucking book over a single, solitary shout made several hours ago, what the hell is wrong with me????)

PENTAGRIN - Deflects criticism about as well as a pasteboard ballistic shield and runs from problems she created out of fear of consequence for her actions. Good lord, the amount of times she's done this is pathetic, and this Spoctor drama where she twisted the situation and flat-out lied had better be the final nail in the coffin for her awful behavior.
Spoctor - Glorified Cringe Comp channel (His words, not mine. lol.) Who needs therapy to aid him to not fuck up with sexual actions, which he admitted he had done. He really does deserve some pity for how badly many people turned on him maliciously.
Stories - Made fucked up allegations (Such as comparing Yeagar to an actual child molester over babyfurs... WTF...) before it was cool and attempted to dissipate all NSFW works because of "teh chilldrenz". Shot herself in the foot by admitting she had feelings for Spoctor and blocking out her side of the convo.
Atari - Is actually trying to help and do something to fix this mess. God bless their soul for actually taking criticism and contacting Spoctor to aid him unlike everyone else who made videos on him. They really doesn't deserve the hate they're getting. (*cough* Pentadoesthough *cough*)
Yoyo and SimplyDad - Had better apologize for even scraping by this drama sh*t on Twitter basically blasting Spoctor for any reason possible. Any amount of reference to this done out of spite or anger needs to be stomped out for adding fuel to the fire, especially since they were and even still are very clearly heavily biased.

Yoyo and SimplyDad are still tools though. They tried to look for an excuse to rail on a fucking teenager for the sole reason of them not liking him, accepting the dodgy evidence as fact. Hell, the former even claimed that she "wasn't surprised" about Spoccy-boi being a "creep," and SimplyDad, despite having knowledge of psychology, fell into the trap of confirmation bias and constantly tried to keep Spoctor in the wrong.
Yoyo, despite a claim that she "didn't intend to expose these Youtubers" said this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCkocPβ¦
(She also dismissed her own twisting of Feghost's words. He never said he intended to commit suicide, he was really just depressed and angry.)
Plus, they put themselves out to be the edgy, almost toxic critics who tend to cruelly berate and insult their target and demand everyone to just "grow a thick skin" as everyone says, despite the fact that people demand professionalism and respect when being critiqued. Not everyone is the same or will take everything similarly, and a needlessly hard approach is just that, needlessly hard.
Plus, she used the "don't like, don't watch" excuse when the topic of SimplyDad's discord server being toxic was brought up by Marquee. They probably wouldn't have listened even if Marquee tried to talk to them.
And to add salt to the wound, Yoyo made an "April Fools" video out of an apology. That's just fucking insulting.
These two honestly make me sick. I hope Ponder's video shows how low they can go, because they really aren't anywhere higher than a bunch of the kids they've gone against, to the point of being damn near hypocritical. (Or even worse.)
