I just played the Stage 1 of EUB and I must say, nice job! It looks and sounds like a legit Touhou game (except the character artwork, obviously).
I must say I don't really like the power system, though. I wasn't a huge fan of it in UFO and (especially) TD. DDC gave you plenty of power points to recompensate for that.
Another thing is that Stage 1 is a little too short.
Then there are some technical problems.
When you beat Futo, Rin comments the battle before moving on. During that time when Rin was on the screen, some red fairies were shooting at me. I don't know if their bullets would've killed me, because I dodged it. I couldn't retaliate, though.
The other thing is Tojiko's last Spell Card. If you die during it, it causes bullet-spamming orbs to disappear. I don't know if it was intented, but I thought I should've mentioned.
Lastly, my computer's s***. Sometimes the framerate drops quite a lot (up to 40 FPS during Tojiko's 2nd non-spell). If there was some fuction to lower the graphical effects, I would really appreciate it.
Overall, I can't wait to see more. Good luck with the rest of the game.

I find that the power system that I'm aiming for in EUB makes power more important in the early game (ie you don't reach full power by merely stage 2). Dying doesn't penalize you for power as much as it does in UFO and TD though, only taking away 0.50. Later on, more and more power items will be dropped so don't worry too much about that.
Stage 1 is short? I really didn't think it was. It fits the music nearly perfectly anyway, lol. Maybe it's the midboss that's too long.
The red fairies spawning during dialogue is a bug that I thought I had fixed. I'll look into it again.
Wow, I can't believe I missed that bug on the final spell. I'll definitely be fixing it up on the next update.
There ARE a few graphical options in the options. The one I recommend changing first is the LifeBar from Radial to Classic. That will revert the boss lifebar from the circular one of TD to a more traditional, less laggy, lifebar.

Your advice helped a little with the frame rate. It just feels so unfair playing it with less than 60 FPS.
Maybe the Stage is just fast-paced. Even though the music is quite calm, the fairies come on and go fairly quickly. I don't think it's something bad, though. At least it's better than some first stages that just drag on (looking at you, TD).
I would be immensely happy if you could mention the latest updates here or on your Youtube Account. I'd love to play some more of that.
