Hello!
Its ok, I'm hardly on devart anymore anyway, I just presumed you were dead or something :3 Well I have been working away as an artist only now for a few months, I bring in enough money to live, almost. But it is nice being payed for what you like to do. And since I've found it practically impossible to find a 'normal job' I don't really have much choice. Still can't wait to be back at college though, I applied for illustration in Ballyfermot a few days ago, interview in march, better get going at that portfolio!, think I'll apply for graphic design or something too there as a backup. I left GMIT because it was completely the wrong course for me. Lets leave it at that, otherwise I risk going on a rant and I don't want to be the reason you decide not to apply there :L Galway however is such a nice place that its almost worth applying there. Hope everythings going well for you anyways and your working away and stuff Oh, I have an art page on facebook now, check it out and give it a like if your bored sure!(having been to ballier you are a valuable source of information haha)

Why not rant? I'm applying though I'm skeptical that I'll like the course (Fine art printmaking). I have a feeling it may not suit me so I want to hear full truths about what I might be getting myself into! I met another of your (possibly old) coursemates when I was in Galway - Dimitri?

When I started the page I told myself I won't start to be happy about it until I reach 400, so not too far off! , I know the feeling, things a tad quiet after christmas, but slowly tipping away sure. Awh cool cool, might unknowingly bump into them then (:
Ok, I shall rant. Personally, I found the course, well, the first year of it that I was in, to be very unorganised, totally irrelevant to the real world, the facilities are poor and the tutors for the most part are lazy untalented walking ego's who have no passion for what they do. I still have friends who are in second year, and it does not seem to have changed much. I'm still in the college alot to use the scanners and stuff there One of the lads I live with is in 2nd year print, put it this way, he is the only one in his class who can draw, and he was ranked second last in the class results. I just felt I would not really learn anything there that would benefit me, so what I'm doing now is far more worth while education wise. I would recommend going to have a good look at the place first anyway. Rant over, sorry! :L Dimitri? No sorry, name doesn't ring a bell :3
