# About me
My art process has been a outgrowth of many years of experimenting with Photoshop and Gimp filters in my spare time and my own oddball non traditional creativity. I mix textures (either found or generated) together in different RGB channels to see how they interact together to form colors. I work with filters to create textures and colors by expirementing with processes that effect the image as a whole.# Comments

dude. seems i didn't have to do any of the tests either... including the ones from last semester... he had already given me grades before i even turned them in because i went to sign up for classes for next semester and they told me the grades were already in like an hour after i turned in the test. actually i saw him glance at em, and then toss em... lol.
i like the one called "palette knife" it looks groovy.

Not really. He gave me B's for last semester, and C's for this semester... which isn't too bad considering we didn't get to print, etc. At least it's passing.
Dewd, I got a letter telling me my financial aid was like, rejected or something because I've used up all my credit hours... so I gotta take in a letter to appeal it. Crazy, huh? I didn't even know they would do that. If it they don't approve it, I guess I won't be coming back to school next semester... which reeeally stinks because I'm supposed to graduate.

me and vector don't exactly get along. yep. we fight. someone needs to learn me the pen tool someday then maybe i will try it.

with the pen tool you define shapes with points and lines like connect the dots, but you can curve the lines. you dont actualy use it like a brush like in photoshop. i like it better because i don't have drawing skills. mabye you would be more at home using the brush and pencil tools.

actually, i can use the pen tool, it just bugs the hell outta me. i dont have the patience, man. I always use brushes. When I get a tablet "someday" it should make things easier.

when you are using the pen tool you can press alt option or shift and it changes to the diffrent pen tools, like the one that lets you change the curve handles and the select arrow. it saves a lot of time.

didnt see u in class. we took apart a pdf and put it back together in pdf class, worked on the flyer with the scanned slide or negative in copy prep and finally got around to makeing the plates and printing our b&w flyers in GA3 u shoulda been there. matt stole hillarys big pink sunglasses and earring and started dancing with this big extending metal accordian like thing we found. good times.

writeup for photoshop:
the process starts like this;
clouds-plastic wrap-invert-plastic wrap-autocurves
in the green and blue channels seperately
i try diffrent values for plastic wrap, and sometimes repeat plastic wrap.
then i mess around and expirement with stuf. this is the part i dont remember usualy.
when i like it i hue shift it, usualy to a cyan-blue-pink or green-yellow-cyan. this mixes the green and blue channels together. (it also mixes well in the red-pink-yellow range but i dont like those colors)
this is the basic procedure i started out with. i have created varations lately though. sometimes i use layers instead of channels to get diffrent colors.
sometimes i use a process of clouds (in green channel)-plastic wrap-invert-plasticwrap-hue shift (a little bit towards blue)-repeat untill i can notice stuff in the red channel. this produces a verry complex picture.
sometimes i make 3 pictures in 3 channels. one for each of the color ranges i stated. basicaly red blue and green. and mix them together either by turing down the transpairinsy or by adding a layer mask with clouds (or plasticwrapped clouds) in it.
lately i have been expiremeting with desaturation and inverse shadows. you basicaly take the picture and coppy it in another layer, then you invert it and hue shift it back to its original colors (slide the slider all the way to the left or right) this makes an image that has inverted shadows. (this is trippy to do to photos) you then slide the transparincy of the top layer to allmost 50% but not quite there. it should look allmost greyscale with a little bit of color. now i would coppy the layers and make the coppys non visable so you can go back if you dont like how the next step turns out. now merge the visable layers, and use autocurves. the result should be a pic with one color turned completely to white and others turned interesting subtle colors. like copper or goldif you dont like it you can delete that layer and start over with your duplicate layers .
once you are done you must mirror it to make a tile. i trust most people know how to do that. this can be one of the hardest parts. you can end up with misaligned pics and annoying white lines.
