Wow..I'm speechless. This is definitely one of the best pieces you've done. Man..lol. Umm, as far as the background, I would put some of the characters from the game behind you. The little ghost girl, the big scuba dude, and towards your feet put some of the smaller, less significant characters like in small swarms...just a suggestion. I'll be "oogling" the picture some more, and if I think of anything else I'll be sure to tell you.

for the background, i like your idea, but i wanted to stray from the piece being fan art. rather, i wanted it to be a piece just "inspired" by the game....so im kind of stuck

Oh, okay. Umm, would you wanna do a background using the familiar locations from the game as reference..maybe put the helmet of the scuba-dude next to you, for a sort of cameo feel. Use the color scheme for a lighting effect behind you maybe..I'm just shooting ideas.

alright i see what youre sayin. if you check the link i gave you, its been updated. another artist did a quick paint over of my piece, and it looks kinda cool, but its just strokes of color....idk if i wanna do that though...idk maybe i just need to do some thumbnail sketches

Yeeah..i think thumbnails are the way to go, just so you can juggle some concepts. I've been looking at it, and i was thinking maybe you should just do a lighting effect, and keep the focus on your character, just make sure the color of the light goes with the color scheme of the pic..just a thought.
