It wasn't unusual for the World Meetings to happen in Berlin. After all, with Ludwig being the powerhouse behind the EU and the general economic and political importance of Berlin, most countries have been here at least four times. Oh but for Alfred, he've been here much more than that. After all, there was the Berlin Airlift and him working out details of the Marshall Plan. Haha, of course, he was the hero during that time, now that he thought back to it. But other than those fleeting thoughts, he rather focused on economic agreements and talks for now.
The meeting was soon over for the day and as the various nations dispersed, Alfred was whistling some silly tune until he caught sight of a familiar lady. Well, well, well- he only exchanged some hellos with her at the beginning but it wouldn't hurt to talk to the other again, right ? The young nation called out, waving eagerly, " Valeria- hey, dude ! ". He caught up to her, smiling in his usual friendly manner, " What's up ? Haha, I feel like I haven't talked to you in a while ! ". Always up for more time exploring their local area more and the fact he was legally allowed to drink, he soon added on with an excited tone in his voice, " Also- you gotta take me out to some snazzy bars. If I go with Gilbert, we always get into drinking competitions, whoops ! ".

Another meeting was held in the city, started and ended like clockwork. At least that was how it all seemed to her. Usually, she'd sit at the back of these meetings, only half-listening in to the countries' bickering and discussions in going about different arrangements and agreements. But today, she decided to be a little bit more 'there' by taking notes and listening intently. Not that she'd be able to make a difference in their decisions, anyway. Despite everything seeming like a chore though, Valeria didn't mind. In fact, she preferred the monotony of things and how it didn't seem to change much at all.
With another meeting finished Valeria was just about to leave the building, until a familiar voice made her look up from arranging a bunch of folders and papers into a neat bundle in her grasp. A small smile made its way onto her features as she replied, watching as he strode up to her. "Yes- well, it certainly has been a while, Mr. Alfred." She says, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear."..No surprise there, I suppose." She says, giggling softly. "Sure, it's been a while since I've gone out drinking with a friend." She finishes, shrugging. It was true, it has been a busy year for Valeria, and so spending time with other people became second priority when so many more significant things were happening all at once.

Alfred liked Valeria; she was bright and knew what she was doing, qualities that he definitely liked. And it didn't hurt that he had pretty friendly relations with her through, despite whatever bumps that had occurred during the Cold War. Well, the past is past and he liked to get know the other more again. He couldn't help but to snicker at the other's 'mister'. He soon commented, " You don't need to call me 'mister'. It makes me sound old. Also the old senators call me that- " there he pulled an exasperated frown, soon brightening up again, " - Call me just 'Alfred' ! ". When the other agreed, Alfred smiled widely, " Yes ! Though by the way, do you know any places to eat here ? "

"Oh! Alright then." She says, small smile tugging on the corner of her lips. "Knowing that does make me feel a bit more comfortable around you." Valeria had never been too comfortable with titles, and using it to refer to people bothers her way more than she ever lets on. Admittedly, she was glad that the other didn't mind. In fact, she was rather fond of Alfred, and just knowing that he was fine with them knowing each other via first-name basis makes her feel rather pleased. "Of course, there's this really nice cafe just a few blocks away." She says, recollecting the streets beyond the building. "But if that's not your thing there's other restaurants just beyond it. Really this place is a food district, there's a lot of places to go eat here." Pausing, she looks up as if thinking of something until she snaps her fingers, "Ah, if you'd like I can go take you there?"

It really wasn't Wamuu's concern if she does get attacked by vampires. He just thought it was fair to at least warn her of the dangers awaiting for a meal in the dark alleys. He perched himself on a thick stone wall separating the streets from the outside garden. The blond didn't have much to do but study the world to gather information on how much it evolved since they were gone.
Passerbys were scarce. She was the only movement that caught his eyes in the past few hours.

It had all happened in what appeared to be only a heartbeat- The brunette had been sitting by herself, perhaps occupied in her own world and thoughts when without warning, a little form suddenly darted up on the table, it's paws scrabbling to grip the tablecloth as Iggy instantaneously made a dart for the half picked at sandwich on her plate. The coffee mug was knocked off in an instant, staining the cloth and napkins a messy brow as the little terrier let out a wild couple of yaps, wolfing down anything in sight and taking the complimentary cookie in his jaws as he now sprang off the table.
"BWARF BWARF!"
With that, the little dog made a sudden dash for another table, currently reacting to the scene that he had just caused; who on earth had let their dog run amok like this?

Rome sighed as he walked through the streets of Berlin. If Germania saw him now, surely, the other would be proud and show all the technological advances and modern look of Berlin. But the old empire still considered Rome to the best with all its sunshine, brilliant architecture and of course, the food. Too bad, the world meeting wasn't placed in Rome, which would have made a lot easier. Well- whatever to do to visit his darling grandsons !
Though he hadn't got a clue where the heck he was supposed to go now since his children was in a meeting now. Maybe some bars- but nothing beat wine either. Not liking the idea of wandering aimlessly and not having fun, he took a break at the bus stop, sitting down on one of the benches. Spotting a cute, young girl by his side, he couldn't help but to flirt with her. With a charming grin on his features, he soon greeted her, " Ah, ciao, cara ! I'm just here to visit and I was wondering if there is any fun places for me that a beautiful young lady like you would recommend- ", soon adding a wink at the end.

Wow! She couldn't believe she was actually here, in Germany, in Europe, an ocean away from her home. The clownette wasn't one to travel much unless it was to the tropics, mostly because she was a known criminal and she couldn't quite show her face at high security places like airports. While she was no longer bumping uglies with the Joker and had more or less given up her life of extreme crime and violence, there were still many outstanding warrants for her arrest in at least a dozen states, so she mostly stuck with private planes that her best friend, world famous botanist and ecoterrorist, Dr. Pamela Isley, or as she preferred, Poison Ivy. However, this time around the clownette was by herself in this new and foreign land, her Germany spotty and her appearance making her stand out like a sore thumb, even by regular tourist standards. Not that she minded the gawking stares and quiet whispers, she was quiet used to it, and she had dealt with it for quite some time, ever since her chemical makeover thanks to her ex-pudding.
No, she didn't even seem to notice as she skipped through the streets, a big, unnerving smile on her red painted lips and her nose stuck in a tourist book, her backpack flopping against her back with each hopping step. She was a bit lost to say the least, but she was trying her best as she struggled to keep track of street signs and the small fine-print map in the back of her tour guide book. In fact, she was so engrossed she had failed to notice the approaching stranger coming from the other way, and looked up only to realize it was too late, slamming full force into the young woman, letting out a small yelp as she tumbled forward, falling on the woman and pushing them both to the ground in a quick flurried fumble.enjoy dying;; sorry this is so late and shoddy!! ;; still trying to get over my writers block!

Hinges sounded just about ready to bust from the doorway that balled, metal fist made swift, strong contact with the timber, announcing the clear, characteristic arrival of the one-eyed commander on Valeria’s doorstep, sounding almost a little more enthused than he normally would be… Arrangements for this catch up had been brief and somewhat messy between the two. They had both stated the day where they’d be avalible, but the expected time of Snake’s arrival had been completely up in the air for him to grasp; late morning had seemed the most appropriate to the two early risers.
What awaited the woman outside may have come as somewhat of a surprise-- Snake stood as tall and stoic as ever, although his aged features carried a soft glow, with his scarred lips curled up into a warm smile to complete the look as he stepped aside somewhat. There, sitting just beside him with paws kneading excitedly at the doormat sat the fabled one-eyed wolf that the man seemingly carried endless praise and talk for whenever he decided to open his mouth on occasion… it was D-Dog! But whatever was he doing here? Had Snake really forgotten to mention his plans to bring his trusty dog around for the day?
