thanks for the fav and the ideas for my constellation quilt. It's sooo close to being done and it taunts me from the chair I have it folded on until I get the detail work finished! I keep telling myself we'll spend some quality time together once it gets cold

Well, I'm glad you appreciate it...
Cause I found someone one on DeviantArt that makes awesome corsets, I fave'd her sent her a message asking if she'd be willing to trade a corset for a quilt...
I think I may have "insulted" her...cause it's been approx. a week, and she hasn't answered back...lol

I've always sort of done sewing, etc. (my mom sewed my clothes when I was a child, as we were poor - and back then, making clothes was actually cheaper than buying ready-made) but I never really made a quilt until a year or two ago. Now I've made three, though I feel this is the most successful of the bunch. I hope to make one about gardening soon.

I've never seen anything like them....They are truly awesome.
I can understand being poor. My mom had to raise 3 children by herself, on only her meager salary...
Have you sold any of your quilts?
You should check out etsy.com

I have an etsy account as I used to make and sell dolls and clothes, etc, but I haven't used it in a while. The first quilt I made I gave to a friend, the second one my cat stole, and this third one is for the livingroom. I'd sell one if they weren't so personal. I doubt anyone else would want detailed embroidery of my friends on their bed. But I hope some day to get to the level that I can think of selling them.

I don't think mine are anywhere as intricate or personal as yours, and I sell them....
well, I've sold 2...a baby quilt and toddler quilt.
I'm working on others, though.
