Well, a lot of people hate him because they think he was added just to replace L, or because they wished Mello and Matt had livve dinstead of him. I think he's great, myself. I like all of the Wammy's Boys, honestly.

Near's hair is fun to draw ! Mello's gave me a lot more trouble than his, believe it or not...

Hehe. My trouble was that I hadn't learned the rules of drawing Mello's hair: it shouldn't be any longer than chin-length, and the bangs come from the back of his head, not the front. Once I learned the direction lines for it, I could draw his hair just fine, thank goodness. Near's hair parts from the front instead of the back--an unusual thing, as most DN characters seem to have that back-parting hair. Light's hair all comes from a central point at the back of his head, too, just like Mello's.
