im not good with it i just stumbled upon something that i could make look half decent, there no way i could do the pic you have as your avatar (colorful world). So what you need to do is have a play around, im really impatient so i try things once and if i cant do them to the level i want i never do them again therefore meaning ive tried lots of different things with different mediums and then this idea came up i found i could do it and so i developed it so im sure you could do thing that you love and think are amazing it just takes a bit of luck finding your niche 
having said that i doubt that you cant do my style im hardly the most complicated artist my stuff just looks better than it is

yeah its really clever ive never thought of doing anything like that and i suppose you have to sort of think backwards to do it and im just not that clever
im glad i helped a little, ive spoken to quite a few people who say "find something you like and keep practising till youre good" now that might be what most people do because theyre patient but as i said im not and my way allows you to try lots of things then you can see from that what youre good at and what youre not so good at (i cant sketch to save my life so i dont simple as that) and then you can use the time instead of getting to a 'quite good' level at that with lots of effort getting to an amazing level at something you had an instinctive talent for at the start. that might be really short sighted of me to say but i think its better to improve what youre good at and make it your own rather than getting better at what youre not so good at by copying others.....hope that makes sense and of course it is by no means the only option or for that matter the best option you do need a lot of luck as well but im sure, from seeing colourful world, that youve definately got skill so its just a case of really finding out what it is and then grabbing it

well it might be because i just do it as a hobby (i usually call that "not a proper artist" haha) or because i only do the stuff for myself and its a bonus when other people like my pics so when you gave me the starting blocks of a convo/advice kinda thing i just thought maybe you hadnt heard anyone say my point of view so it could lead to you doing some amazing things that you love doing and love the final result of im sure most people would do that
as a little sub note thing i would suggest always doing what you want to do and what you like at the end, theres not much point if you dont like the result but that means different things to different people for instance i only do what i want and the occasional request from friends, other people enjoy doing requests and things but a couple ive done have made me feel terrible because i didnt want to do them and i didnt like the outcome so when i look back what really was the point of me doing them? you and everyone else would prob say thats selfish but if youre the one putting the effort in surely you want to be one of the ones who enjoys the final piece

Ya I have a few paintings that I hate because they didn't come out the way I wanted them to and even though other people liked them I didn't feel very good about them and I didn't enjoy doing them. So I can kind of understand how you feel. But hey if I do some watercolor work do you think you could critique it and give me some pointers on technique?

yeah id be more than happy to do that but you should remember that im by no means an expert and havent been taught lots of different things ive just worked stuff out for myself so my comments would be limited to how i would have done something (assuming i would even know where to start haha) though i suppose all critiques are really just opinions that you can agree or disagree with.
